Thanks Chris- I agree with you 100% and trust that all of these bumps in the road will bring us closer together and stronger people. The cell phone is on the list of things to do!  I want to throw the darn thing in a lake.  It's so frustrating not being able to use the darn thing when I need to. Have a great day! Christina

Christina, OMG you've got too much on your plate! I can't get over how positive you have been going through all of this and still being supportive to others on this board. Yeah, sometimes it is take it one minute at a time... It seems neverending with all the problems that you are facing. There's got to be light at the end of this long, long tunnel. It would be plenty enough to have your stepdaughter in the house with you but all those pets.... way too much! I have to say that I admire you Christina. Calvin is sure darn lucky to have you as his wife and I hope that he knows that and tells you too. I will keep you and Calvin in my prayers.. Once Calvin gets through the surgery and starts his recovery, things should start to get better. You can't handle all of this by yourself for very long! God bless you and keep you safe and sound! Hugs and Love, Lucy

As I sit here and type this Calvin should either be in surgery or being prepped for it.  Praying that all goes well and that the Dr's have the ability to clear this all up.  Please keep us updated and know that you and your entire family is in my prayers.   How old is your stepdaughter Christina?  I have a stepson that just turned 9 that lives with us.

Hi Monica - Thank you very much for the continued prayers.  I'm at the hospital in the waiting room and they have the internet.  Just got word that Calvin is in recovery.  All went well and he should be able to come home tomorrow. My stepdaughter is 17.  It's just a real unfortunate situation.  Her mother past away unexpectedly on June 30th and we had hoped to be able to let her finish out her Senior Year in MD but Calvin and I are very uncomfortable about the way things are going.  She may not understand right now but hopefully she will understand in time that we are only trying to help and protect her. Your appointment will be here before you know it!! Christina

Hello my OH Family - Just wanted to let you know that Calvin is in recovery.  They said the surgery went very well and he should be able to go home tomorrow.  They called it a skin ulcer.  They completely removed it and they said that he has a pretty large hole in his stomach but they removed all the infected area.  It may take a few months to completely heal as they need it to heal from the inside out. Have I told you today how wonderful you guys are?  I really appreciate everyone so very much.  It's such a comfort to know that I can come to you guys for support in all aspects of my life.. not just wls. I hope in return, I can give you the support in your time of need. Christina

I have never heard of such a thing, Skin Ulcer, wow. Did they give you any idea on how a person gets something like that? Just remember to take care of yourself, if you get sick then who's going to run the show?  I will be keeping your DH in my prayers. . Glad DH is out of surgery and doing well! Karen

So glad to hear that Calvin did well and might even be able to come home tomorrow.  That's great.  I have heard of skin ulcers....isn't that a lot of diabetic people get? or am I thinking of something else?  anyway, I'm just glad that he's doing well.
