Good Morning my OH Friends - What's everyone doing today??  I'm at work trying to play catch up while Calvin is still resting.  I'm going to try to be out of here by maybe 7am.  I really don't have much going on other then taking care of my patient and maybe, just maybe throwing up some paint on the kitchen walls.  We shall see.  I have a huge list of things that I want done around the house and it's mostly things I can do if only I could find the time and energy.  I have an idea.. If anyone knows of a hot, hunky male that works for cheap, send him my way.    I'm so happy to see so many new people on the IL board.  This is a wonderful place to meet new friends facing some of the same challenges your going thru or have been thru.  Don't be a stranger, stop lurking and join in.  It's so nice to be able to give and get the support you need. Big Hugs, Christina

Good Morning Christina and IL Board, Happy Saturday!!  I am glad to hear Calvin is home and on the mend, now if you can just find a few minutes for you to get some much needed rest.  The amazing thing about this surgery is what we are able to do as post ops that we could not have done before.  All the running that you have done in the past weeks, you would have had a hard time.  I would not have been able to get all the walking in nor would I have sat comfortably in a plane seat for either of my trips. Last night, I went to dinner with some friends that I had not seen since February, they were amazed at the change in me.  Sometimes it is really good to see someone you haven't seen just to get another perspective. I have some laundry, cleaning, and odds and ends to do.  Then I have a few parties to attend today and tomorow.  I may bow out of one as we are going to celebrate my sister's birhday a bit early.  She is having surgery on Monday and wants to celebrate before that.  Please keep her in your prayers on Monday.

Wishing everyone a great weekend. Mary

You are so right Mary.  There is NO way I could have physically handled everything on my platter a year ago.  Thanks for reminding me to be grateful for the things I have and can do.  I'm glad you had a nice time with your friends.  It does feel good to see an old friend or aquaintence that you have not seen in a long time.  It's a little "pump me up" boost we all need from time to time. Have a great weekend, enjoy your parties and I'm sending good vibes and prayers your sisters way. Christina

Good Morning Christina, Mary, and the rest of the Illinois board.

Christina, what ungodly hour did you go to work this morning? I am glad to hear your DH is home, but please don't get yourself so worn out that you will be next.  Mary, you also sound like one busy lady! Me, I am going to pick up the house this morning, and maybe go Krogering., stop at the cleaners and go to an anniversary party this afternoon. My kids will be going too, and I know they will come back here for a bbq and swim.  Take some time to enjoy this great weekend.  Lisa

Good Morning Lisa - I'm very fortunate to be able to come and go pretty much whenever I need to w/ my job.  About the only pro there is.   I rolled in around 2 this morning and will head back out in about an hour.  I may come back later on tonight, we'll just wait and see how the day progresses.  If I could stay off OH, I may be able to get some work done!  LOL Have fun at the anniversary party and of course the time w/ your kids.  A bbq and swim sounds like a great time. GM ladies that already beat me up this morning. GM to the rest of the sleeping beauties - boys and girls of the IL board. We went and saw Oliver again yesterday evening. A local theater group did the play. We got to sit right in the front row where the actors came and sat on the edge of the stage. We are patrons of the theater group and front row is one of the perks.  Today Dave wants to speak at his doctor's pre surg seminar, so we have that this morning. Then later this afternoon we drive down to Woodridge to stay for a wedding. I have everything all ready to pop in the car and go. (use your imagination, pretend it is a car). We come back home early in the morning and go up to the medival faire in Cheese Head land and after that we drive over and see the family at the two christenings. I need to squeeze some laundry time in there also because I need clean uniforms for next week. So true about your energy levels comparing pre op to PO. There is no way either Dave or I would have been able to walk at the faire or kept going through the day with the pace we keep now. Take care  & Christine

Good Morning Chris - Thank you to both you and Dave for the community work you do.  Sharing your story gives so many people the hope they need to move forward and seek wls. The play sounds like so much fun.  You two really know how to have a good time. Do you and Dave dress for the medival faire.  They really have some pretty cool costumes.  Some day, probably another life I would like to wear one of those sexy dresses. Have a safe & fun weekend. Christina, no we do not dress up when we go. Most of those costumes are SO HOT. I did one year buy the flower wreath with long colored ribbons. I had a motive for it. I wanted to hang it from the edge of Dave's grandma's antique dresser in our dining room and that is where it still is today. I use the dresser to store table linens in. I pretty much am a little shy about the girls showing. I always was that way probably because I was always so large, now am smaller and still am shy about them. You generally will always see me with a shirt pretty much up to the neck, rare for me to wear a scooped neck shirt. CB

Good morning!!  I am alive..lol  I woke up able to breathe out my nose, so I am excited...lol  Okay, so little things in life excite me.   Let's see, what have I got planned for today.  I need to do some laundry, just checked out my closet, there is nothing there.  I haven't bought a lot of clothes with me going through them so fast.  I have sort of plateaued, so I might buy a couple of things, then I think well, fall will be here before you know it, so why buy summer clothes.  I need to go to the grocery store, but don't know if I am up to that yet.  Hubby was sort of depressed today, he went to work and isn't getting paid.  They had better sign that budget!  I told him, just think about the check you will get when they do sign it.  That made him smile. I will try to check back later to see how everyone is doing. Hugs to all, Dee

Good Morning Dee - It's good to hear your feeling a little better.  Being sick really stinks.  Just tell dh to hang in there, it will all work out.  He's doing the right thing by continuing to work.  I know what you mean by lack of clothes.  I just hate to spend much money on them.  Fortunately, I get to wear jeans and t-shirts to work and don't have to "dress up" like my previous job.  That really helps with the clothes budget.  Every so often the girls remind me that I have baggy butt and it's time for a new pair of jeans.  LOL Hope you have a great day. Christina
