Other than that, not much going on!!!  Say some prayers for Pam as she will be having surgery next week!  I just want to thank everyone for there kind words and friendships!!!  I feel really blessed to have found this website!!!! Kim

Hi Kim - Thanks to you and Maddie for the extra prayers.  That's so sweet.  They are working.......... Calvin is feeling a bit better.  He is resting a lot which I'm very glad of.  When I brought him home from the hospital yesterday, he kept saying oh my gosh, I need to cut the grass and I need to do this and that.  I told him to park it!  You're not going anywhere, Nurse Nancy has it under control.  LOL Your so sweet to offer to paint my kitchen.  Right now I'm doing a lot of nervous busy work.  I too enjoy painting.  Not real great on the decorating end of it.  I would probably be better at it if I had endless funds to play with    I'm stressing over some major family issues and I'm scared to death I'm going to fall back into bad habits.  I told Calvin instead of stress eating I would hit the treadmill everytime I feel the urge. I too am so glad you and I both found this website.  Hugs to you! Christina

Well Mike (hubby) and I were going to spend some time together since we hardly saw each other last week because of problems with his work, but he just got a call from his mom and she's having computer problems, so off he goes to help.  Actually while  he's gone I will do some homework, do laundry and clean up some.  So when he gets home we can hang out and watch some movies we have here from Netflix.   We are watching someone elses dog for 10 days, started yesterday, and it's not going so well.  Every time this poor dog moves, two of ours goes nuts.  They don't try to biter her but they will stand in front of her and just bark and make her scared.  They've never been like that before, so I will be keeping a close eye on all of them as well. Tomorrow, nothing planned.....kids coming home from "the dark sides"  LOL

Hi Monica - Sorry to hear you were not able to spend much alone time w/ hubby.  That stinks!  Try to get some time for you guys tonight before the kids come home tomorrow.  You deserve it! I hope the doggy sitting gets better.  If not, that's going to be a long 10 days!  Hugs, Christina

Good Morning....err I guess Afternoon! I know I don't check in as often as I should, but I really never have anything going on.  I wake up, go to work, come home and sleep.  Occasionally I will run a load of laundry when either myself of my son run out of clean ones.... I am really expecting that all to change once I become PO!!  Maybe then I will have more energy to do more things.. like this , or this , or maybe even this and this!!  instead of just this all the time.  lol Ok enough with playing with the smileys.  See ya all soon!  Everyone enjoy the weekend! Cindy

Hi Cindy -

Your life is going to change a lot post op.  I was just having lunch with my hubby today and a girlfriend of mine called to tell me they were heading to the Renisance Faire.  I told him that last year she invited me to go but I did not think that I could keep up with them and did not want to be a burdon.  I was 404lbs a year ago.  I'm so blessed to be at 229 today and wow how my life has changed.  With all the things going on right  now in my life, I would have been able to physicallly keep up. To be honest, I lived a pretty boring life up until five weeks ago when all hell broke loose at my home.  I really want my boring little life back.  Please, please, pretty please. Enjoy your weekend! Christina

Hi Carla - Best Wishes for a safe trip today.  You may already be on the road.  I hope you have an uneventful trip and that nasty uti goes away.  Congrats on the new football player!  He sounds like a nice healthy one.

Thank you for the kind words for Calvin, he is slowly getting better.  Just needs to rest, rest, rest. Take Care, Christina

Hi everyone, I am new to this board and site for that matter. I have been thinking of having this surgery for about a year. Now I think I am ready, I went to one WLS seminar this past week but I really want Dr. Kane jr. I have known him for a while and would perfer that. So I need to go to one of their seminars and that isn't till August 11th UGH : ( Now that I have decided to do it I didn't know what a long process it was... I am a little over 100lbs overweight and am depressed.. So I thought this was a way to start to get in on the boards...... Thanks for listening  If any one has any advice please let me know ... Welcome to the boards Martha - Many of the people on the IL board have either used or are familiar w/ the Kane Center.  You will be in  good hands. The process is long but the end result is amazing.  Get the ball rolling and before you know it, you will be on the losers bench. Congratulations on taking the first steps to a healthier you! Christina
