Good morning Illinois, and how are you all on this fine Sunday morning?  What are your plans for the day?  Have you all been exercising?  Eating right? My plans for the day are to go to the grocery store.  Yuck!  Take a walk, and eat right.   Please think about all the people getting ready to have surgery this week, and for all those traveling wether it be for work, or vacation. *hugs* Dee

Pam, there is a Trader Joe's not too far from the Clinic, approx 5 miles away in as town called Glen Ellyn. They have a lot of health types of foods, vitamins, organic foods, flourless bread etc. Google Trader Joe's, they have a website. Chris

Hi Pam, Trader Joe's is a great store, they have a website which will let you know where their locations are as well as give you an idea of the products they sell.  They sell a line of healthy food at good prices, a more cost effective version of Whole Foods if you are familiar with them.  Check them out, I think you will like them. Good morning Pam, Trader Joe's is a store, that carries a lot of organic and wls friendly stuff.  I love it! You will be fine!  Funny story, I was a nervous wreck, ask anyone on the boards, I was ready to not have it done.  Then about 2 days before, I was fine, then the day of surgery, my DH was talking to me while I was waiting on the gurney, and I was still fine.  My brother walked in, and I started crying, and wanted off of that gurney.  Don't remember much after I came out of recovery, but the next day, I had to ask if I even had surgery.  It was the best thing I have ever done for myself.  It will be for you too. Hi Dee and the rest of IL - I have a long list of things to do today.  I'm getting ready to head into work right now for a few hours.  I need to work in the yard, do some laundry, play nurse, grocery shopping.  I really need to get some healthy snack choices in the house.  Any suggestions??  I'm really scared that I'm going to start stress eating which got me to 404lbs and I never want to go there again.  A lot is going on with my step daughter and I find myself popping food in my mouth just because.  Not because I'm hungry.  It's scarry stuff.  I have went by the book but now I feel like I'm starting to get a little relaxed in my eating choices.  So, I told Calvin everytime I feel really stressed I need to hit the treadmill instead of the fridge.  Geez, I'm going to be on that treadmill 24/7!  LOL So what do you buy at Trader Joes?  I've never been to one although there is one not too far from me.  Maybe I should check it out.  What's so wonderful about the yogert?  Sell me on it. I hope you're feeling better Dee.  Have a great Sunday everyone! Christina

GM friend, Trader Joe's has a lot of organic foods, vitamins, protein bars, drinks, it is worth checking out. There is one in Glen Ellyn on Roosevelt near old Rt 53.  How about, having some cottage cheese in the house. I like to treat myself with some low cal sliced peaches and CC. Do you like string cheese? Have a couple with some low fat Wheat thins, how about an small apple with some peanut butter? Just a couple things I can think of right now. Gotta fly. Chris

Christina, Just reading what you have to do is wearing me out..lol I was gonna add some snacks for you, but it is about the same list that Chris has also.  The fage yogurt is 13 grams of protein, and it is thicker than other yogurt, I add some fresh fruit or the to-go packets of crystal lite to flavor it...yummmmmmmm. I am feeling much better, thanks! Dee

I got some of the Fage yogurt today and love it. I put in some coffee and splenda.....absolutely delicious and so high in protein. This will help me alot, as I am having a hard time digesting my shakes.
