Sunday Roll Call

Hi Chris, Have a great time at the faire.  The weather looks good not too hot.  It has been years since I have been to it.  The last time I went it had to have been in the high 90's ther ehad not been rain in ages so that it was a hot dust bowl.  I felt bad for those folks in hot costumes as they looked ready to pass out. I must check it out again sometime soon. Mary

Hi Dee and the IL board, It looks like it is going to be a lovely day in Chicago.  I am doing laundry and pulling weeds and then going to have lunch with my sisters.  We are celebrating my youngest sister's b-day today as she is having surgery tomorrow and her birthday is later in the week. I am finally getting back to "normal" in my sleep.  Normal for me is to go to bed around 11:00 pm sleep through the night and wake at 5:00 to the sound of my alarm.

My diet and excercise have been a bit off track with my vacation even though I got plenty of walking in.  I am going to start back serious walking this evening before bed.  Tomorrow I will pace while my sister is in surgery so I think I will wear a pedometer. Have a great Sunday, enjoy the lovely weather before the high heat returns next week. Mary

Gm one and all.  Today I am working on getting up a ton of stuff from my basement to my garage in preperation for a city wide garage sale here next Friday and Saturday. I have hardly done anything for it yet and I will be working hard today and all week.  The kids are willing to help though because they know that any money we make goes towards spending money for vacation in a few weeks!  I can't wait.   I am also working on getting some more homework done too.  Gotta get my butt movin on that.   Prayers going out to those having surgery this week!  I can't wait til I am one of those people, but it will be a while yet.  Tha'ts okay though. Okay I should probably go and take a shower since the boys will be coming home from their dad's sometime today. Have a wonderful day all!

GM everyone.  Was busy yesturday.  My Grandma ended up in the hospital early yesturday morning.  She's 88.  She has pancreatits and a urinary tract infection.  They had her on some good stuff for the pain.  She's doing much better today although she's a little depressed.  My aunt from California flew in late last night (I went with my Mom to get her from the Clock Tower in Rockford.  She took the grey hound from O'Hare to the Clock Tower.).  She was suppose to take Grandma with her to Minnesota to see my aunt that is dying from cancer. Sounds like my aunt from California is now going to hang around here for a couple of days to see how things are going with Grandma then head up to see my other Aunt for a couple of days, then come back in time for Grandma to be discharged form the hospital.   I'm working on trying to get my laundry caught up today.  Plan on going uptown today.  Sycamore has a huge classic car show today.  It seems like it gets bigger every year.  They shut down most of route 64 (going through Sycamore).  There will be cars lined the entire lenghth they shut down not to mention down the side streets as well. This is probably our second biggest event every year.  Our biggest is the last weekend of October we have Pumpkinfest.  I know at one time our parade for the Pumpkinfest was the third largest parade in the state.  It's always my favorite time of year.  But then again every third year or so the parade falls on my Birthday. I see Dr Rosen tuesday for hopefully a second fill.  I will finally be giving up my days as a woman of leisure Wednesday as I return to work (darn it I was just getting used to being able to be home).  LOL  The checking account says it not too soon either.  Thursday I will be going to the support group meeting at Dr Rosens office. Hey Shelley - What time is your appointment w/ Dr. R tomorrow?  DH has an appointment at 1:30 and I wil be going with him.  Maybe we will cross paths.  If not tomorrow, hopefully at a support group meeting soon! Keeping thoughts and prayers headed your Grandma's may. Christina

My appointment with Dr. Rosen is at 11:30 tomorrow 6/31.  Just getting a fill, so shouldn't take long.  So if I don't see you there, I'll definetly catch you at our support group meeting. Shelley
