Good morning! Christina, I am so happy you guys are consulting an attorney, that is the right thing to do.  Counseling would be good, I am sure she has a lot going on right now.  Glad to hear Calvin is doing okay, but how is Nurse Nancy doing? Prayers being said for Mary's sister, Pam's niece and family, Shelley's grandma, and all of the Illinois board. Thank you so much for the prayers for DH's job, it is extremely stressful since he is the only one that works in the family.  He says I work more than him with my mother..lol I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday, and an excellent week. Good Morning Dee! We had talked to the attorney a few times since the death of Amanda's mother but now we need to really buckle down since we are not getting any backing from Amanda's Aunt's on her mothers side.  Of course, these are the ones that called us and told us that Amanda was better off being with us.  That the street she lives on is not a safe place to raise a child etc. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.  I'm doing ok, had a little melt down on Saturday morning which actually felt good.  I was at work, listening to my Carrey Underwood CD when Jesus take the wheel came on.  Well, need I say more???   I sure hope your hubby gets some good news soon.  It has to be so hard w/ him being the bread winner.  And you know what?  He's probably right, you probably do work harder taking care of your mother.  Taking care of Seniors is not a walk in the park.

Take Care and try to have a good day. Christina

Good Morning Christian and IL, Thank you for the thoughts and prayers for my sister today.  We will be going later this morning as she has a noon surgery time.  That is hard as you go so long without any water and of course that is when you are desperate for a drink. I hope the issues with your stepdaughter improve.  At that age, they really don't think of anyone but themselves and she probably doesn't understand that you are doing what is best for her and her future. Dee- I hope the state gets that budget settled, you are a good reminder to us all what happens when our politicians play games down in Springfield.  The newspapers should pick up on stories about the hardships families face.  Don't ever think you don't work hard, taking care of an elderly parent is a full time job and then some.  Don't sell yourself short. Pam-  My heart breaks for your entire family,  Alex will be in my prayers and I hope the police catch the "B" that hurt her. Shelly- your grandmother is in my prayers. Chris B.  I hope your day is not too busy and your co-worker does not try your patience  Mary

Good morning Christina and fellow Illinois members. First, my thoughts to everyone: Christina - God bless you for being you; a very special person. Taking care of Calvin and nursing him back to health and being a caring and nuturing stepmother. Thoughts and prayers for Mary's sister for an uneventful surgery. Pam S. - again, thoughts and prayers for your niece Alex and that she gets the support and counseling needed to get through this tragedy. Prayers for Shelley's grandmother for a speedy recovery.  Dee - prayers that you and your DH get through the difficulties with his job.  Chris B. I would have loved to join you for a slumber party this morning. I didn't want to go to work either, but there is so much to do and with my new employee in training, I knew I had to go in. We'll get through this day! For me, well I'm not doing too bad. I had my second job interview last Wednesday and am waiting to hear, so keep your fingers and toes crossed. I think my seroma resolved and now I just have to work on the basic rules of the pouch. I weighed in at weigh****chers on Saturday and had a substantial gain. I know that I will take it off and then some. One day at a time that is! I'm not going to starve myself because if I do, then once I eat like I should, I'll start gaining again. Don't want that! I went out with Andy on Saturday night for dancing. Had a great time. Not much from my other guys though. Today I will contact my new interest, John who is coming back from a trip to St. Louis for business.. So, we'll see how that one goes. Take care. Lucy

GM Lucy - Thank you so much for the kind words.  I'm just trying to do the right thing. Sounds like you had a good time w/ Andy this weekend.  Don't worry about the gain.  You know what to do and will get it back off.  Like you said, "one day at a time".

My fingers, eyes, arms & legs are all crossed that you get good news on the job interview.

Have a good day, Christina

Dear Kim: Don't fret about not losing on the 6 month diet.  That is kind of the point.  You need to prove to them that even though you are doing everything "right", you do not lose weight on your own.  That is what they are looking for.

In the mean time, you are developing good habits, (both eating and exercise) to help you for the rest of your life while on the "losing side".   Only 1 month to go!!!!!!!  Good for you!!!!

Tell someone that you love them!
