Good Morning Illinois!!!! My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who needs them this morning, and doesn't EVERYONE need a little prayer now and then? Our "date" went really well last Friday evening....went to the Olympic for dinner and I had the appetizer portion of Shrimp Casino.  It was really good and the perfect size.  I even shared a bit with Todd.......that and part of a side salad.  I really AM a cheap date these days. We had a great time at our monthly barbeque.  We went in to Amber's and watched the grandkids play in the pool. I went shopping at my favorite consignment shop on Saturday and got a whole bunch of new stuff----most in size 12!!!!!!!  I even got a new swimming suit!    I NEVER thought I would be wearing size 12s and mediums again!!!!!!!!! Today is just work, then home.  Everyone is home now, so back to the usual. Everyone have a lovely day!!!!

Hi Dawn - Glad to hear your "date" went well.  Me and dh try to have date night once a week but it does not always work out that way.  Is the monthly bbq w/ neighbors, family or friends.  Sounds like a fun tradition.

Size 12.. you go girl.  That is fantastic.  I some days have to pinch myself.  This journey is amazing! Have a great day, Christina

HI Christina: We hardly ever have a date night.  We always seem to be running in different directions with each of the kids.  It was a nice treat.  It's nice to have time to catch up with each other.  Sometimes, it seems like we can go a whole week or more and not really TALK to each other, you know???? The monthly barbeque is with my oldest daughter and her family along with my aunt and uncle that we moved up here from New Orleans.  Sometimes other friends join in, it just depends!!!  Todd's got a really big family, but most of them hate me, so we began this tradition to keep in touch with our "chosen family".  Family events with his whole family are nothing but stressful "zoo-like" atmoshperes, so we decided to hang out with the ones that make us happy.

Take care of Calvin, but don't forget to take care of you too!

Hi Martha - I know what you mean about ready to get moving on your new journey.  I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I'm not sure where abouts in IL you live but I will give you my surgeons name and number.  He is a wonderful surgeon and his team of experts are top notch.  They also have a monthly support group that really keep people accountable. LifeWeigh Bariatrics Dr. Rosen 2801 Finley, Suite 220 Downers Grove, IL  60515 630-261-9393 You can also scroll down a little on the IL page to get more info from their website. In the meantime, I would start trying to gradually get some exercise into your day.  Start out slow and increase when you feel you can.  Take baby steps. Good Luck, Christina

Good morning Christina and all of IL- It sure is a pretty day.  I am officially under 200 lbs. for the 1st time in 4 years.  I can't believe it.  I feel like hammered --it- this gall bladder surgery is more painful than the big surgery in May.  I am in constant pain and the bruising on my belly is hideous.  I run a fever every night around 100 to 100.5 , so I think the surgeon is going to get a call today.  Christina- I raised 4 girls on my own and believe me they  can be a handful.  If you need any advice or just a shoulder I'm here 24/7 darlin'.  My prayers are with all who need them-enjoy this pretty day-Janet K

Thanks Janet, I appreciate you offering a shoulder if I need it. Can I get a woop, woop!!!!    So tell me, how does it feel?  I can't wait to be under 200. Did you have open gall bladder surgery?  I had it done about 15years ago and it was the most terrible pain I have ever had.  My open gastric bypass was a breeze compared to the gall bladder.  Sorry to hear your fighting the fever and pain.  Please don't put it off, call the surgeon.  He needs to figure out why you're in pain or figure out why the high fevers. Hang in there sweetie.. I know your a tough one! Christina
