HAS ANYONE HAD A LAP BAND DONE BY DR. ROSEN AND IF SO HOW MUCH WEIGHT HAVE YOU LOST  HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET FILLS AND HOW AGGRESSIVE ARE YOUR FILLS

Katy, there are several of Dr Rosen's patients on the IL board myself included. There are also a few band patients that are IL board members. Someone will pop in over the course of tonight or the next few days and will answer you. Check in with RNshell2001. She posted on the Sunday Roll Call, she is going back in on Tuesday for a fill. Hi Katy, Dr Rosen banded me on March 2. I had lost 22 pounds before surgery. So with that and the weight after I have lost 45 pounds.  I had my first fill 1 month after surgery...He put in 1cc, second fill 1 month after that another 1cc. June 7th he put in .5cc. Then July 5th he did a fill under fluro. He has a total of 4.1 in at this point and I lost 6 pounds this month. I was a little to tight but I have worked it out. On an average I have been losing about 3 to 4 pounds monthly, that is considered on target. I hope I answered your questions?

Hi Katy - I also have Dr. Rosen as my surgeon.  I had open gastric bypass on 8/30/06 and have lost 175lbs.  It's been an amazing journey.  I could not ask for a better surgeon or team of experts. Congratulations on your journey to a healthier you. Christina

I had Dr Rosen for open gastric bypass on March 29. 2007 and I have left 115 pounds so far!! He is a great surgeon!!

Dr. Rosen did my Lap Band June 5th of this year.  He did my first fill at 1 month.  I see him again tomorrow for another fill.  It'll be 2 weeks after my first fill.  I have a 4ml band.  He did a 1 ml fill the first fill.  Usually if he has to do more than 2 fills he'll do the 3rd fill in the radiology department so he can be more aggressive and be able to actually see how big of an opening you have in your stomach.  Since surgery I have lost about 15 pounds.  I have lost about an average of 2lbs per week.  I really like Dr. Rosen.  I am an RN and  have been taking care of his post op patients at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora for the last 2 years and I wouldn't have had anyone else do my surgery.  Dr. Rosen and his staff are all so caring and concerned about all of his patients.  You ,unfortunately, can't say that about all surgeons (not just speaking about bariatric surgeons). Dr. Rosen did my LAP RNY about 5 months ago.  I am down 105 pounds and feeling great.  I would highly recommend Dr Rosen and his entire staff no matter which procedure you are considering.  Best of luck to you. Dan
