HI all I'm new

Hi all, I'm Melissa and new to this forum. I live in a really rural area of Illinois and today I went to Northwestern U and had my evaluations with the nutrionist,the doctor and the pyschologist and I have passed all of them. Northwestern is going to send for my insurance approval so now the wait begins; also I start my protein shake diet. So now the waiting begins.

Welcome Melissa! I also live in a really rural area and love every minute of it! Congratulations on passing all of the tests and good luck with your approval.  Sometimes, the insurance issue can be a real pain, but it is all worth it in the end. Welcome to this wonderful journey!

Geez Melissa ... I'm sitting at Northwestern right now as I type!!! (Whenever I have two appointments in the same day here, I set up my "virtual office" on the 2nd floor in the lobby ... its too funny, because when people know I'm here, they know exactly where my "office" is, and which window I'm by!

Thanks all for your well wishes...I'm pretty lucky that I have a rare heart condition and have the cardiologist and sleep apnea doctors all approved before I went yesterday. I am also on Medicare and Blue Cross of Nebraska (my hubby's insurance) so I am not sure how much of a pain but im ready for the fight. Karyn, good luck with your appointments today; I know how long of a day it was for me but I am happy that I went through it.
