Sunday Roll Call
GM IL, well we are getting some much needed rain here in my area today. Since I went to bed last night we have gotten 3/4 of an inch. It is a nice steady rain. A good soaking rain that goes into the ground and does not run off into the sewers. Hopefully, Christina's family does not meet with too much rain delay while traveling back home.
Well, I have a couple of things to do around the house today before we head off to church and help with a lunch/dinner for the people involved with the various stage teams. Those teams will include dancers, singers, drama, musicians, programming and production people. They will rehearse for most of the afternoon and evening for the upcoming conference sessions.
It is going to be kind of lonely around my neighborhood this week as several of the families have just left their houses for their vacations in the northwoods of WI. I hope it is good weather for them. They are predicting mostly cloudy and rainy here most of the week. Just hope it clears up for Friday and the weekend. We go down to the Loop to meet with another WLS group and stay down there.
Well, need to get moving. Sure would be a great day to go back to
for more

Good morning-Chris and all of IL!- Yes, it's sure raining-my Peke was very put out when I put her out to piddle! Nothing exciting here-I have one incision site that is quite pink and warm to touch that has me concerned. I still have a lot of pain also-so I will be watching that. Hope everyone stays dry and has a great Sunday. I've been prying for Christina and her family- the thought of driving all that way w/a PO'd teen-ager send chills down my spine. Hugs to all-Janet K
Those animals - so moody just like their human owners. My ****er did not like the rain nor thunder, come to think of it he did not like a lot of things. Like the fireplace when we would use it, wood floors. . . He did like his treats when he came in for going potty.
he did the happy dance to get them.
I think Calvin is the one that was flying home with Amanda, Christina was doing the driving. It will be a good time for Calvin to bond further with his daughter.
Take care of those wounds.

Today I wanted to relax after a very busy Fri and Sat, but there are groceries to be bought and the kids are just dying to go and buy their school supplies! ha ha. So, there's no rest for me as there is laundry to do as well. that's okay though, I don't mind at least I can just sit if I want to. The garage sale went very well and we made about $360 fun money for vacation, which we'll be leaving for on Saturday the 18th. I can't wait. I love Gatlinburg, TN. It's so beautiful there.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful and blessed Sunday!
School and stationary supplies are a fetish for me, I love all the little gadgets you can buy. I usually stay away from those aisles in the stores. I will never become addictated to cocaine because all I have to do is go in Staples and I am "high" for weeks on end. There, now I got that out of my system.
Got my first load of laundry done and I will dry it later after we help at church.
I have never been to TN on a vacation. I have driven through TN during the night on the way to FL but that is about it. Are you going to do anything special while there? What is there to see around there? That shows you my ignorance of that are of the country.
Hope the rest of your day was restful.

Chris that's funny, cuz I am the same way. I think I enjoy it more than the kids do! the first time I went into a Staples, I thought I'd died and went to Heaven. We don't have one very close to me here, but I stopped at the one in Elk Grove when I went for my Gyne appt at Alexian, that's where my gyno is. I'm on my 3rd load of laundery! yay, laundy is my pet peeve. I just hate doing it and with 3 kids, it seems like I do it in my sleep.
TN is just gorgeous. We go to Gatlinburg which is right smack in the middle of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. This year we are going to be doing a lot of hiking there. I also promised my 11 yr old I would go on the ariel tram with him from the town to the top of the mountain. there are tons of great little shops to poke around in and tons of walking to do.
I can't wait, it's one of my favorite places to go.
