Good morning my Illinois friends!
I amd wondering how our Rockford (and area) friends are doing today? There is a lot of flooding after last night's rain, and a possble dam breech that the city is watching. My prayers to all who myneibors who have struggling today! I work in Rockford and I am worried about some of my co-workers who I know live the flooded area.
Other than that not much happening here. I'm STILL trying to get all caught up on my laundry as I was called into work on both of my days off last week. It very humid here today, I feel like I'm melting. everybody remember to drinks lots of H2O.
Talk with you again soon,
Cindy
Good afternoon my Melissa dear and the rest of IL. It has been a long week and I have nothing but my nose to the grindstone for work. I am working towards my goal of being off work this Friday (one more day of work, WOOHOO!).
Sorry that I have not been around much, I just have a lot going on.
I will try and get on tomorrow morning and post the roll call but not promises. I still have to pack some of our things for the weekend and do some laundry so I have clean clothes to take with, so- I will leave it at that. We leave on one of the express trains for downtown early Friday morning (7am).
I did have a great day at work. I was able to listen to my new Christian CDs by Chris Tomlin and Casting Crowns. I was by myself because tonight is National Night out and most of the staff is assigned to work from 2-10pm.. http://www.nationalnightout.org/nno/ Many communities around the country celebrate this event. I will go back to work here in a little while and enjoy the festivities. There is free food, crime prevention info, games, for Itasca we have the Disney Radio network, fun at the pool, crime prevention info, fire prevention, did I say free food and much more. Many small communities participate. Lock up your doors, turn on the front porch light to deter crime and go to your community area that is celebrating. National Night Out is always on the first Tuesday of every August.
