Roll Call - It's hump day

Hi Christina and all the IL family-I've been up to my ears in doctors this week and still have 2 more to see.  I am so happy to hear Calvin is on the mend, but was very disappointed that your trip went so poorly.  It has to be very frustrating to be in the middle like that.  All you can do is bide your time and keep the Serenity prayer handy.  I'll keep you both in my prayers.  Everyone else sounds so busy and active and all I can do is lay like a lump w/this infection I have in my incision.  I am very frustrated.  I did get to see Baby Lincoln yesterday and he is doing so well- almost 6 lbs.  My poor niece is so nervous though-and waiting for the next surgery is just making her worse.  We are working on finding a way to simmer her down before she burns herself out. Good luck to all you moms and back to school prep and Carla I was glad to see you arrived in Florida safely, but so sorry about your kitty.  My little Peke is so precious to us so I can't imagine  how we would handle it if she went missing.  Back to couch-hugs to all-Janet K

Well, I finally made it to the board. It has been a long week. Nothing major going on, just work is a little overwhelming right now. I am really happy that this Friday I have a vacation day and we are getting away for the weekend. I actually have been saying that I would like for summer to be over soon as I am tired.  Take care all. I have another load of laundry to do and put the finishing touches on the packing and then I can call it a night. Christine

Good evening IL~ Well.....went to the Boone County Fair today w/ the 3 kids!  We had a good time!  I only took $40 and spent every last cent!!!!  The kids had fun, so I guess that was okay!!  I have been trying to do stuff that is free or cost very little!  Today is my 8th wedding anniversary! We are past the 7 year itch and have survived alot of trama and drama over the years and are both ready to live long happy lives together!!!  DH got me bike for our anniversary so I can get some exercise outside.  Maddie was thrilled that MOM could ride a bike!  She said that OLD PEOPLE couldn't ride bikes!  Boy did I prove her wrong tonight!!! Went to nut appointment Sat and that went awesome!!!  Hope everyone is having a good week! kim

Hi Kim - Congrats to you and dh on your anniversary.  You tell Maddie that "old" people can ride bikes!   I love riding my bike.  It will be fun for you and Maddie to be able to ride together.

Glad to hear your nut appointment went well.  How much longer???

Christina

Hello All, This is my first time on the Illinois forum.  I would love to meet some people locally and get some support.  I had surgery on July 12th and am struggling with no restriction.  My first fill will be Sept 5th.  I sure hope I get a little restriction then.  Do you all know of any support groups in the south suburbs of Chicago? Deanna

Hi Deanna, I dont' know of any support groups in the area, but my inlaws live in Frankfort.  When we are in the area, I can let you know, and we can meet and chat about our journey!  Hope things get better w/ your restriction!  Welcome to the board! Kim
