Tuesday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois......I'm Back!!!! We went to the Cubs game yesterday and sat in the bleachers.  The kids had a blast getting soaked in the rain delay.  Too bad we waited through it and they lost in the end.  Oh well.  Quality family time is what it's all about!  We all had fun.  I can't believe how many times I went up and down the stairs and the ramps with no troubles.  We always park in the Edgewater neighborhood, ride the train to Wrigley and walk the rest of the way. I am trying to catch up here at work today.....I am afraid that my home computer may be toast.  I think the motherboard is fried.  I wasn't quite ready to get a new computer, so we will have to see where to go from here. Tonight, Olivia and I are going to help in the marching band's lemonade stand at the county fair.  It is kind of fun.  My family will be helping on Thursday night and Sunday evening also.  The Stephenson County Fair is not one of the bigger ones, and I don't know how it will work out with all the rain....I think I would rather take a nap. I'd better get back to work, but glad to check in with you all.

I take it that you did not take little Riley with you???!!! That would have been too long of a day for her. What a neat time together. You and Todd are doing such a great job with your kids, keep up the great work. Oh, the feared new computer syndrome - I will tell you it was not real difficult for me to decide when I needed a new computer for at home - I stayed with the version just below Vista ( I cannot for the life of me remember what it is!!!!) I love all the new bells and whistles but I really did not want to go out and buy a lot of new programs to go along with Vista and I am glad that I did. Even my IT guy (someone from our church that does all of our IT work on a barter system, he is also one of our friends) agreed with me. So, look at all the programs that you run right now and go from here. Will you need to buy new software for those programs?

As far as the fair, it is sunshine here (at almost 7pm) you should be ok.

Hello Everyone!! I am going to strip wallpaper today and tomorrow so I can hang new on the weekend......I has rained alot the last couple of days and the ground is just soaked.  The state fair has just left town and so has all the traffic (I live about 2 miles from the fair) The Gov was here for budgets and for the fair.   Weight loss has been going slow.......I am down 28 lbs in 7.5 weeks.........I wi**** would go faster.  I am going to Chicago to Kane Center and to a meeting on the 6th of September.......... I have also gotten a year older on the 8th, next year I will be 50.  My youngest daughter also had a birthday on the 8th and my middle daughter will have one on the 31st.   Blessing Shannon

The Gov - I am not fond of that man - BLOG-O is what I call him. I am sure Dee and the rest of the IL state staff feel the same way about him and the legislature right now.  50, could have fooled me!

We have the same issues up north with the soaked ground.

Hi all, Sorry I haven't been on much lately.  Between working 12 hour shifts at the hospital and trying to get my house ready for the assessor, it's been nuts around here.  Have been to the zoo the last 2 Saturdays.  Have had baby showers the last 2 Sundays. Well the assessor has been and gone today already.  All that work on the house he he was only here for 10 mins if that. It is the cleanest my house has been since I moved in three years ago though.  YEAH!!  Now I have to go into the bank on Thursday to sign my new mortgage papers. I'm working a 12 hour shift tomorrow.  Sign papers at the bank Thursday.  Wait for comcast to show up Friday to hook up my phone line, cable, and computer service.  Then will have to notify everyone of my new e-mail address.  Friday I also have to get the dog to the vet to be boarded all weekend.  Saturday we are going to Minnesota to go to my Aunt's memorial service (She passed away this last Saturday about 9pm.  Her husband left the house before the undertakers could get there to take her body.  He just couldn'****ch it.  My Aunt from California was there to meet the undertakers.)  We will be home late Sunday.  And in the midst of all of this my daughter (who is now a volunteer for TAILS) has been wanting to know when I can take her to do her volunteer work!! LOL  I told her she may have to wait until this next week when things calm down a little bit for me.   Tried to skim though most of the postings I've missed the last week and a half.  Lots of exciting stuff happening out there.  Congratulations to all those that have gotten their acceptance letters.  Can't wait to have you join us on the losers bench.  So glad to hear Dee survived her car accident.  Congratulations to Christina on her new job. I know I'm missing a bunch of other stuff, but know you all are in my thoughts and prayers always. Well I need to get running.  Need to make lunch for Samantha.  She starts back to school this next Monday.  She's ready.  Can't believe she's going into 5th grade already.  Can't believe I just bought her Women's size 11 gym shoes!!!  Two more sizes and she'll wear the same size as her Mom.  I wasn't into size 11s until freshman year off high school. Thanks for prayers for Grandma.  She will finally be able to leave rehab on the 27th.  She will not be going to my Aunt's memorial.  She is talking about having one here once she's feeling better.  Relatives from southern Illinois are planning on waiting for that one to come up as they are celbrating one of my Great-Aunts 70th birthday this Saturday. Wow, you are busy, busy busy. I am there with you on the family parties (showers, weddings etc) I am fed up with them and broke.I finally started turning down invitations for them. I have had 7 wedding, 3 baby showers, 4 bridal showers, birthday parties you name it. Stop the world I want to get off! This is just since February. Chris

Good afternoon everyone! Well, the sun is shining here!  I I'm going to take advatage of it and pull weeds and work in the garden for a bit.  My Perenial gerden is forming slowly but shirly.  The problem is that I refuse to buy anything for it , when I can just wait and split perenials from my dad and friends.  So I have two gardens, but one of them have nothing in them. My parents had to cancell on me last night, so they are coming tonight.  I just let the chicken and dumplens cool and stuck it  in the fridge and we are having that tonight.  I skiped dinner last night.  I don't know...I'm feeling a little depressed about my weight and the big flab of fat that folds over on my stomach area.  Sorry..I hope knowone has eatting while they read that!  I go tomorrow for my last appointment for my 6 month supervised diet.  The nures called and asked when the surgery date was going to be, because she said that I need a complete phisical and I haven't had one for a year, so she didn't know if I sould do one tomorrow or not.  See the insurance won't pay for it of I have 2 physicals in 1 year and the physical has to be less than 30 days from surgery.  I called Maggie and  I'm still waiting for a phone call.   Boy would I love to get together w/ everyone!  I'm on the same boat as Christina.  Name the place and time and I'm there!  As the surgery is getting closer, I seem to have more questions and concerns.   Some of them I will ask in another post.   I am not shy about my body, so in the near future I am going to post Way Before Pictures(110lbs) and Before Pictures on my profile.  So beware....you will get to see all of my SHAME!!!! Hope you have a great time with your parents tonight. Sometimes food tastes so much better when it is reheated.  I was just talking with Pam S a little while ago. We all are going to see what we can do about a get together later in September. I do not want to do it at BS where Christina works then she cannot enjoy what is going on. Maybe we can do something out near you and Pam. Some of us can maybe car pool . . . , Woodfield area etc. Just throwing out some thoughts.  Christine
