How I spent my Saturday

My daughters and I made it to Wisconsin Saturday morning, but not to Madison. We got as far as Beliot, and the road came to a standstill. With it taking about an hour to get to Janesville, we decided to forgo  Madison and Just go to New Glarius and then back to Monroe to og to the Swiss Colony store.  We ate lunch at the New Glarius Hotel. If you haven't been, you should go. Swiss and German foods.  It was a great day, we had fun, the weather was beautiful , who could ask for more. Lisa

Sounds like you had a good day despite not making it to Madison.  I'm so glad to hear that.  I had a very relaxing day today not doing much of anything.  Watching movies with my son and taking a nap.  

Hi Lisa. I spent my Saturday poolside, relaxing and getting some needed sunshine. My sister and her husband were going to Kenosha. I haven't heard from her today. I wonder how the traffic was going to Wisconsin. Your lunch sounds delish. I love German food. Take care! Lucy

I tried German food once I must not have ordered well because I wasn't impressed. What is good? My daughter is alwasys trying to take me again and I find excuses.

Well, yeah I-90 can be a dickens for traffic on a holiday weekend. You should have gone up the back roads to Madison, it is a wonderful drive. What counts is that you were all together, had great family time and made new family memories. And that area of SW WI is very pretty farming country. Christine
