Okay, I am freezing....lol  Anybody have any ideas for a drink that is hot with protein.  I do the coffee with a scoop of protein in it, but I am thinking like hot chocolate or something like that. Dee

Me.....Me....Me!!!!!!  I drink it hot all the time!!!!

Here is what I do:  First, mix the protein powder in the mug with cold water to form a paste.  Then, add the hot (not boiling) liquid to the paste (I nuke my liquid for 2 minutes).  This keeps the protein from "cooking" and getting into tiny little balls that are just gross. Some of the things I like: I take chocolate powder/paste and mix as above---nothing added.  I use 1.5 scoops and about 10 oz. water.

You can add to the chocolate powder/paste any of the following: half a packet of SF hot chocolate 2 heaping teaspoons of SF International Coffee--any flavor (I like Suise Mocha best, but French Vanilla Cafe is good too!)

a couple of teaspoons of SF daVinci syrup---again, whatever you like.....mint, Kahlua, Hazlenut, B-52, marshmallow, etc.......... I have also made a really good Chai hot drink: You mix the paste with vanilla protein powder.   I think it is Bigelow that makes a SF/caffiene free Chai tea bag.  Steep the tea bag in the hot (2 minutes micro'ed) water for a couple of minutes.  Mix the Chai into the vanilla paste----YUM, YUM. You can also do the powder/paste with coffee and any SF DaVinci syrup that you like or have on hand.  Kahlua is really good! I hope this helps stir your creativity!!!!

Tell someone that you love them!

Dee, What do you mean your cold? Just because I wore a sweater coat to work today. It was warm and fuzzy. Try hot jello (sugar free of course) mixed with protein. Vanilla mixes well with any flavor, or even try it with instant fat and sugar free pudding mixes. Stay warm, Lisa

LOL.. I stay cold.  I'm sitting here at work w/ my heater on and a sweatshirt jacket. I'll have to try putting protein powder in my hot drinks.  I've never tried it!

FYI... Protein breaksdown in heat, so you may not be getting as much protein as you think. Carrie

Shaklee has a non flavored protein powder that is meant to be used with cooking so it can be added to baked goods, hot drinks or anything else you would chose without breaking down.  I think it has 20gms of protein. Shelley
