Monday Roll Call
Good Morning everyone!!!! I had a busy Saturday. Amber, Riley and I took Olivia to a (4.5 hour) Girl Scout Archery course in Hanover, so of course, the 3 of us had to go to Galena while we waited for Olivia! We walked around and shopped a bit in Galena and had The Cream of Blue Cheese soup at the DeSoto House. I picked up a few Christmas gifts and a couple of other trinkets. Riley was an angel!
After we picked Olivia up, we headed back to Rock City. I then stopped and picked up a car that a friend of mine was selling and took the car into Rockford to my Uncle that is looking for a car. He test drove it back to Rock City, bought it, then we ALL went to the fireman's fish boil for dinner. After dinner, everyone left Olivia and I alone and we watched a movie, then hit the hay.
Yesterday, we slept in late, then I made a new hot sauce with fresh tomatoes and the cayenne peppers from our garden. The boys got home around 2:30, then we hung out in the backyard with the neighbors, shared pizza, and sat by the fire.
Today, I am (of course) here at work. Tonight, Olivia has a family thing at her church youth group and David has a game, so Todd and I will divide and conquer!
I am looking forward to Sunday also! I'm hoping for a side trip to Ikea while I am there, and maybe over to the Trader Joe's that I hear is not so far from there? I missed the Illinois walk, but I am hoping to join my surgeon's team for the Wisconsin walk in Madison on October 6th. It will be at Vilas Park, which is where the zoo is also. It is also only a few blocks from TJ's!!!! I hope everyone has a lovely day!
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
I am home, did you all miss me???!!! We had a great time and walked a lot like we usually do. Bought a couple things for the house and a couple of Christmas gifts at the craft fair. I went to my favorite used vinyl record dealer and bought some old albums that I have wanted to add to my collection. The weather was a little cool but we had the correct clothing to wear and were able to layer our shirts so if it got warm. . . which it didn't. I think that on Saturday when everyone else was at the Walk from Obestiy we put close to 5 miles on the ole GPS pedometer.
Christina, see you tomorrow night at Janet's. Chris
