Thursday Roll Call

Morning, Just another workday for me. I do not have to leave home until 7:55 this morning since I am working in town today. We haven't any plans for the weekend either.  Have fun on your weekend in the city, Chris and Dave. Lucy, I had an employee walk out on me last Thursday.  I know she won't be replaced for months.  I can do my job without help, but the clients we help don't have an outreach person to help them.  Have a great day Lisa

Good morning everyone! Sleep, what is that?  My neighbors dog barked all night.  We tried talking to them, and all they did was cuss us out.  I think next is the police.  I hate to do it, but I don't let me dogs bark during the day, let alone at night. I have a job interview today at 10.  It is at Lowe's Home Improvment.  I will let you all know how it goes. Dee

I have my ultrasound today at 6:30 so I have to fast all day and we are having our company's 80th anniversary party at work. I'm surrounded by tons of delicious garbage that I don't need and can't have!

Hi everyone!  I haven't been posting anything for awhile because I've been kind of depressed.  I have the Illinois medical card and the doctors in Peoria would not take it because of my zip code.  Good news!!!!!  We are moving to Pontiac, Illinois next week, and they will take it.  I can't wait!!!!  We will be closer to my grandson, since he lives in Pontiac too.  I hope to find a job there too, since there are more opportunities out there than there are where I am living now.  I really wanted to go to the get together last Sunday, but we had Harvest Days festival out here and I had a craft booth set up.  I hope to make the next one!!!   Everyone have a good day!!!!

Hello Illinois!! It's been a while since i last checked in. Sorry about that. I got really discouraged, and just found myself not wanting to think about it. I'm back at school- and so much happier than I was over the summer. Thank goodness for the insane sanity that school brings me.. I did also end up changing my major and career path, so that has helped to relieve some stress. I am trying to get into the program here in Peoria, but I don't have 500 dollars for the class I need to take. Everything keeps getting screwed up the closer i think I'm getting to making something happen. But I have a friend here that has promised to be my rock and a push- so hopefully he'll stay on my case and there will be better news to report next time around. Have a great day- I have one more class, and then meetings for the rest of the evening. UG! :-D

Hi Shana! I am in the peoria group, and I think they have finacial aid available for those who qualify.  I just borrowed from mom and dad, but I think I remember seeing somewhere on my form that they have partial and full assistance.  Don't know if you checked into that already.... JMHO. Cindy

No, I got some information from OSF- they accept medicaid, but you have to pay out of pocket for the class ($495) and a body test which I believe is $20.  I have yet to send it in, b/c i'm still trying to save the $500.  What group is the Peoria group? Is that through a hospital? Thanks for that information.

its the Peoria Surgical Group working with OSF bariatric program.  Its seems to be a very thorough, and good program.  And OSF St. Francis is a "Center of Excellance"  whatever that means cindy

A "Center of Excellence" is a highly rated facility that has proven successes and Drs. w/superior credentials.  Some insurance Companies will not permit their clients to have bariatric  surgeries anywhere but a "Center for Excellence".  There have been a lot a docs who have done bariatic procedures that aren't as qualified for the procedures as they should be or take patients who are  too high risk.  That is how the Surgeries have gotten such a bad rap  as far as morbidity etc. in the press.  So it is a "Good Thing" to quote the all knowing Ms. Martha Stewart.  Alexian Bros. in Elk Grove is one also.  Hope this helps-Janet K
