Open vs. Lap RNY surgery....HELP

You're only 3 hours away from Urbana, IL. Have you tried Dr. Oliphant from Carle Clinic in Urbana?

I would do your research! Not just about open or lap but about your surgeon. This is a very serious surgery and you really need to have the best surgeon. I was going to siu in Springfield and they only do open. I had lap and I am glad I did. In order for a surgeon to do lap they have to have a lot of extra training. They can do the surgery both way if it needed to be. This is just my personal opinion. It is safer lap and like my surgeon say with all the advances in the medical field there is no reason or benefit to open anymore. just make sure you do your homework! good luck to you.

I wanted to respond back to you last night but my darn internet went down. Sorry. Thanks  I truely hope you NEVER have to know that kind of pain. My doctor is in chicago hes Dr. Vitello. I didnt Actually your not that close to me. I looked it up your town is just over 7 hours from me. Hmm I would of swore you were much closer to me than that.
