Good morning all of IL!   Gonna need your shades up in the northern area of IL today, we are supposed to have more wonderful sunshine and warm fall weather, YAHOO! Well, got us almost packed for our get away weekend to the Dells. We have tickets to see Amy Grant on Saturday afternoon and we are really looking forward to that. I will have  access for the weekend so I will be checking in when I can. Just need to iron a couple of shirts to take with. Even though some of the cotton jean shirts say you do not have to iron them I think that they look better with a good ole steaming of the iron. I am weird, I love to iron even though I hated it as a kid. It was part of my household chores back then.  What is going on in your world lately?  We have a bunch of surgery dates and consults scheduled today and in the near future. I have support group tonight. Christina posted about that yesterday. Sorry, I have been MIA a little but life has finally caught up with me and yes little ole me, Christine finally ended up tired and needed to recharge a little bit.  I think that I am pretty much back to normal now.  Need to get moving and ready for work. Smooches, Christine

Good Morning Chris......Amy Grant ....so jealous!    You and Dave are going to have a great time! Get some rest, get your battery recharged and have fun! Had fun with the fleas and animals yesterday......what a chore getting rid of those little insects!    They just don't want to die!It seems like all I do is vaccum!   I guess I will have to be on the flea patrol for a while here...until they are all gone!  My new mission! Ronna jealous of you going to the Genesis concert as well.....and going in style!!!  I hope you have a blast! Everyone have a great day! Pam

Good morning Christine and Pam. Chris, you and Dave sure plan on some regular fun weekends... I am so jealous of you. This weather is so unusual. I haven't brought out my fall and winter wardrobe yet, since we keep sliding back to summer and this weekend is going to be like July! Pam, I don't envy you with the fleas! Yikes, I had that once with my Yorkie Terrier when we stayed at my brother's house. I brought her home and gave her a thorough bath. Those fleas are so nasty and fast! For me, well I am working and looking forward to the weekend. My aunt is here from Austria and staying at my mom's house. I'm sure to see her on Saturday when I go over to my sister's house. Monday I'll be seeing Dr. M to discuss my next round of plastics. This time I am more scared because of the facial plastics. Also I am having my implants removed because I am so unhappy with them. Give me my flat chest again, that's what I say!! I still am without an employee, so I have all the work to do by myself. There are pros and cons about that. I know that my boss is going to get antsy when I am off at the end of this month for 2 days since I am going to the OH Arizona conference with Val. I haven't told him yet about the PS, although I am only planning on taking one week off along with two weekends since I am having my surgery on a Saturday. This will be the first time that I am going to the surgicenter, so there is some anxiety there as well. I finally am having my 2 pieces of jewelry appraised that I bought while in Alaska. I'll get the results on Saturday. I probably will be selling them since I need the $$$ for my plastics. Wishing everyone a most enjoyable day. Get out there and enjoy the summer! Hugs, Lucy

Good Morning everyone!!  It's a beautiful day here, well outside anyway....I woke up yesterday with a cold sore and today it's big and really hurts.  I usually take a prescription pill, but I ran out and have to call the Dr today.  I hate these things....anyone else get them?  what do you do for them? I have work today then I am taking Austyn to his school book fair to pick out some books for him, maybe we can get him to read more yet! Tyler has his football pizza party this afternoon and I have to return some things at Best Buy as well.  Good tv night tonight so I will be watching my fave shows.  Oh yeah, also doing more Biology homework! Darn, now that I think about it, I also have to do laundry cuz Jacob and I are heading out tomorrow night with my sister and neice to our parents farm out in Oregon, IL for their annual Autumn on Parade festival.  I will be gone from Friday evening until sometime on Monday....I won't have access so I will miss you all.  I am going to be telling my parents about my WLS as well, wish me luck on that!  I am nervous.

Hi Monica, I get cold sores quite often.  I can feel them coming on and if I have the persc. ointment handy, I start applying at once.  If not, an ice cube at the swelling point helps sometimes.  Once it has "popped" I use the cream and do my best not to pick at it.  You might laugh, but I also take a q-tip with a little alcohol on it and dab it on the sore as it is healing to help dry it out.  I use whiskey (because that was something my dad did) when we were kids, lol They are a pain and they hurt, hopefully it clears soon. thanks Mary, that's funny you say that about the alcohol that's what my boss said yesterday and I thought he was joking!  I'll have to check hubby's bar in the basement and see what we have.  lol
