Update:Consult in Chicago

Hi everybody.I hope you all have had a wonderful 3 days.Well my trip to Chicago/****ro went well.My surgeon,DR.Ayloo is absolutey a delight! Her and everyone thet I delt with at UIC Medical Center were very nice & helpful,from registration to leaving.I only have to repeat 2 of the clearance tests,the Psych.eval and the Cardiologist.I have to get with a nutritionist which her and the Cardiologist are here in Effingham and the spych.eval isn`t that far.I just have to get transportation set up thru medicaid for that one which will be a week .So tomarrow I go to my pcp with all the paper work and get them to set up my appt`s.She wants me to do 3 weeks of the liquid diet before surgery.She said she sometimes reqires that from some of her patients.I have to lose 5 % of my body weight before surgery.# weeks makes me feel very hungry right now.lol.Makes me a little nervous but I AM DETERMINED!!! I have one more trip to make there before my surgery.That`s one more trip I hadn`t planned on but hopefully medicaid will help me with at least one.We are trying to save my 2nd credit card just for these trips and I`m afraid we are going to go into debt with these things.I`ve already had to file bankruptsy once & still have about 2 more years before it goes off my credit report.This makes me very nervous.But this surgery is going to be done!!! After I get the appts. done with the Psych.eval & the nutritionist and Dr.Ayloo gets those papers she can then send for approval to medicaid.which I`m guessing I could have a surgery date of at least November.Which my birthdate is the 26th.What a birthday presant that would be huh?But that`s about it for now.I`ll update more as it comes to memory.lol.Oh and by the way?NEVER EVER stay at the Cindy Lyn motel in ****ro!!! I don`t know what the cost is for the 2nd floor rooms but they definately WAY over charge for the 1st floor rooms for what you get.Too many things to list but I will never stay there again!!! hello. well, since I have medicaid as well, your approval is gonna take about a week to two weeks to get back. also, I see the cardologist on 10/23, and then get my esults on the first of nov. so what i am saying is with the docs and thier appointments, you may look at a Nov. date, like me, or, depending on how everything falls for you, look at dec as well. I am only saying this because I thought it would be the end of the month fo rme, and I have to wait till Nov!!! Any more q? let me know!!

Hi Shana.Well lets see if I can start this again with no problems.Does anyone else have problems with this site,when you are trying to get something posted, while you are typing the whole page just moves,or you think you are typing and you look up and nope?It`s not typing at all.So you have to finish that sentence again.This is getting very annoying.It`s been doing this ever since I signed up here.Anyways,yeah I was thinking about a Nov.or Dec.surgery date.OMG I`m getting so excited!!! Nov.26th is my 42nd birthday and I`m really hoping that will be my surgery date.That way I can officially call it my "rebirth" lol.But I`ll take Dec.too.Today I went to see the nut here.She`s getting in touch with Dr.Ayloo`s nut & they will be working together to help me.That`s pretty cool.Dr.Ayloo and her team are pretty accomodating.I also got my pharmacist working on my meds.It looks like I will be crushing most of them because she said there`s only a few that come in the elixr form and only one of them is a capsule.But I have my trusty magic bullet.I can grind them into a powder & mix them with applesauce.I will be starting the new meds.form tomarrow.My pcp`s nurse is getting the other 2 clearance appts.set up.I should have them done hopefully within a week or so.And I`m starting to do some other things to prepare for the surgery as well.Any advise from anyone would be of great help.Now I just have to find a WLS closer to here for after surgey in case something was to happen cause with medicaid,I have to give them at least 7-14 days advance notice of any appts.and then it will take 3 days for them to approve the trip.Thanks for the help.I`ll definately be asking moe ?s.Take care and good luck to us all.And God Bless us one and all.hehe.
