Get your FLU SHOT!!!!! I got mine this morning. I want everyone to stay happy and healthy so don't be a wimp and go and get it Remember that influenza is really rough on folks that have had WLS and we easily get dehydrated, so protect yourself and your family.

I'm a wimp! No flu shot for me... I had a reaction to one when I was a student nurse.

Yeap, in 2003 I had gotten the shot and of course it is no guarantee that you will not get the flu but I did while I was in Germany of all places, far far for home. I survived it but yes I got really dehydrated and had to go to urgent care because I could not swallow the hydration method my doc wanted me to do - salted water. I got sick to my tummy doing it. I had to get an IV. I got my shot last week and my upper left arm really hurt me for close to a week, probably about as much as when the vampire, I mean nurse that same day had drawn my blood. I got it in both arms; shot and blood draw. I am still black and blue from the blood draw. I am not usually a whimp but this hurt like the dickens this time, with the double whamy to the arms. Chris

Hi Ronna, I got mine Saturday at Dominics of all places. I went in to get my daughter a gift certificate for Sarbucks for her birthday. and seen they were giving them. Decided not to wait. Now, I don't have to wonder where I can go to get it. Lisa

Oh no I hate the flu shot. Of course im very anti vaccine. It has mercury in it.

Hi Ronna, Thanks for the reminder, for those of us who have had surgery, we cannot be too careful getting all of our shots.  Even though my arm hurts for days after, it is a small price to pay to avoid the flu or risk giving it to someone else. Thanks Mary
