Hi Kim, That is great that your doc will help you with the comorbidities, but arthritis in the knees is not one of them.  You need 2 of the following:   Hypertension, Diabetes, Hypercholesterolemia, Heart Disease or Sleep Apnea.  Have you had  a sleep study?  Most of us have sleep apnea even if we have not been treated for it or don't know it.  Then you will have the 2 that is required from the medical policy manual that your insurance uses to predetermine if you meet the requirements for surgery.  I think that I have written to you before.  I am the one who used to work for Blue Cross.  Good luck with your appeal.  If you would like, I can send you my seven page letter to Blue Cross that I sent along with my medical records that helped me get approved in one day.  This way you can see what you may be missing.  Let me know if you would like to email mail it to you.  You can contact me at [email protected].

Hi Kim-That is great that your PCP is getting on board-you have to be persistent and just bully the crap out of them!  That is a good idea from Pam-maybe you should check w/ the Kane Center and see if an appt. w/Dr. Doom for possible sleep apnea, would help your case.  The squeaky  wheel gets the oil!  Hang in there , girl-we'll meet on the loser's bench before you know it.  Have a great w-end-Hugs-Janet K

I am late in getting up, so sorry...lol  I know we shouldn't leave you two alone on a message board...lol Didn't hear about foot surgery yet, maybe today.  My DH is off for the day, and we have our great niece Kinsley for a couple of hours, she is a little wild woman. That is about it for me.

Dee.....Are you implying that Miss Lucy and I need a babysitter?   LOL    You are suppose to hear about your foot today right? Have fun with the wild woman.....Pity on you......This is why I like animals.......Lock them up if they get wild!

Good Morning Ladies!  I slept in a little which of course put me behind.  My body is so achy today.  This is a great visual.. Yesterday morning my young pup brought me one of my dress shoes, she was just so proud.  I was not as happy as she appeared to be.  I scolded her and continued to get ready for work.  As I'm walking out the door, Calvin was sitting at the kitchen table and it hit me, I don't remember seeing the other dress shoe.  So I stopped and started looking for it.  Then it hit me...  I bet that little **** took my shoe outside.  I found both my tennis shoes outside a few weeks back.  So I go to the patio door look out as it's pouring down rain and there lays my shoe on the patio.  I step out rather quickly because it was raining and as I did, I fell flat on my a$$.  It was like a sheet of ice, but instead it was slime.  Calvin was laughing so hard.. The only thing he could say is "last year you would not of been able to get up"   Yea, well, real freakin funny.  My clothes were just a mess so I had to change and then left for work.  Never thought much more about it until I woke up and fealt like I had been hit by a mack truck  .  Oh well, it could of been worse. So nothing more going on w/ me.  Just work.  Hope everyone has a great Friday! Christina

I'm sorry Christina about you falling......but I have a perfect picture of all of this in my head, from Calvins view! In fact I'm thinking this is a WOW moment?  He did say if it happened last year you would not have been able to get up?  And I don't know who's made me laugh harder today you or Lucy!   I hope you feel better later on!  

Looking back on it, it was pretty funny but man my body is not laughing.  I did not feel it yesterday but I'm paying today.  As far as the "Day of Beauty"..  I fealt bad because there was only four in attendance.  The surgeon pretty much covered everything on before/after slides which were amazing.  Oh my gosh.  I could only hope to look 1/2 as good as some of the after photos.  They did not touch much on botox.  The only thing he did say is not to get botox at the day spas because some dilute the botox and some are just not trained properly.  I'm shooting for early summer to start my plastics but we shall wait and see.  Have a lovely day my friend.    Christina

That is too bad that only 4 people attended....should have been more.   You should take some tylenol for your pain! Lucy....just because you like that baby devil doesn't mean you have to be one!    I have to go to bed now, was suppose to go to a meeting at work    but too much fun here laughing!    Gonna miss you for the next 2 weeks, I can't play   with any one for a week and then your gone to phoenix!   gotta make up for loss time!
