I call it nervous energy, you need something to occupy your time otherwise you would go nuts waiting for Monday morning to arrive. Plus you are doing lots of stuff that is constructive. It is always a good feeling knowing that "stuff" is done and you do not have to contend to it while you are recovering. I am here and doing constructive things before we go down to the block party. Dave is there right now helping them put up the tents for where the food is served and where you sit, etc.  I just got my inhouse decorations out for Halloweeny and Thanksgiving. I love the warm feelings you get from the colors of autumn, it makes your house feel so homey. Not much else going on other than party time down the block. I will take some pics and post them later on afterwards on my profile so all can see the block configuration for why our location is such a perfect area for our combined blocks to have a party every year. Good Morning Illinois!!!!!! I just caught up on all my reading since I've been away.  My,my, you guys sure have been busy...... I am sorry to hear about your crappy weather.  Thursday, when we arrived down here, it was 90 degrees with 87% humidity.  The first thing (well..........maybe the 2nd) we had to do was change into our summer clothes.  This place is beautiful!!!!  We have a small patio area right outside our room right next to the "adults only" swimming and hot tub area.   We are having a wonderful time!  We only have one thing "planned".......tomorrow, we are renting a vehicle (tossing the idea around about a Harley, but is is $$$$) to drive down to Cape Coral to visit relatives.  Other than that, our only rule is that we are not going todo ANYTHING we don't want to...... Yesterday, we had some wonderful grouper and shrimp at one place, then hopped the trolley for a 45 minute ride to Clearwater beach.  The trolley turned around and started to head back, so we go off at the first stop.  This stop turned out to be across this HUGE bridge away fron the island.  Todd was asking if I was sure that I wanted to walk back, as it was a pretty long bridge, and a really HIGH bridge (like a HUGE hill).  I told him that I was perfectly capable, so off we went.  It turns out that the bridge was just over 1/2 a mile.  Not only did I have no trouble, I did not break a sweat or have any trouble breathing!!!!!!  WOWOWOWOWOWOW!  I took pictures from the top and will share them when I return.  Once we got over the bridge, we stopped at the first likely place for a potty break and a beverage, then walked on to the place I was trying to get to........ANOTHER 2.5 miles!!!!!!!  Last year, I would have said, "NO WAY."  We finally got to this place called "Cooters" where they are having "Stone Crab Fest" and tried stone crab claws for the first time.  They are AWESOME!!!! After a couple of hours there, we walked back to the trolley stop, with a side trip to Clearwater Beach's Pier 60.  That was another 2.5 miles.........oh yeah, and a storm came up and we got rained on the whole way!  Last year, NONE of that would have occured.  I am PUMPED!!!!!  (can ya tell???) Today, it will be a little cooler (86) and we think we are going to hang out around the beach and resort to get our money's worth out of the "resort fee" we paid. I am thinking of you all...so very sorry to hear about baby Lincoln, I just said a little prayer for him.  I can't stand typing on this stupid lap top too much, so please forgive me for not mentioning you each by name, but know that i AM thinking of you and wish I could share this wonderful weather and great experience with all of you! I will try to check in again! Love to you all!

Tell someone that you love them!

Goof Morning Pam & IL, Not too much for me this weekend.  I slept until 8 this monin g which is a rare event for me.  I am going to go walking this morning and then I will spend most of the day working.  I finally stated weeding out clothes and I have two very large hefty bags filled wth clothes that will no longer fit.  I am ashamed to say that many still have the tags on them. I am going to take them to the Salvation Army as well as a St. Vincent DePaul resale shop.  My loss :-)  will be their gain.  I've thought of trying to sell them on ebay,  I just don't have the time to do listings and take photos etc.  The other thing is as we all know, when you are obese, the clothing industry charges very high prices for clothes that are not that great, thinking of  "Catherines".  So these clothes will give someone a chance for some nice clothes at a minimal cost. I want to wish you all the best for Monday.  Prior to my surgery I went crazy buying jello and chicken broth.  To this day, I still can't stand either of them, lol  I had the usual jitters prior to the day, but the day of my surgery I had a total calm and peaceful feeling.   Just remember the mantra, "sip, sip, walk, walk, rest, rest" and enjoy the journey :-) I will be thinking of you on Monday and keeping you in my prayers. Everyone have a great weekend. Mary

Thanks Mary for all the coaching.......I plan on doing anything to get me going again! I think it's so easy to just drop stuff off.  By the time you do all the stuff to get it on line.....it is well worth your money for all the time and effort you have out into it! Thanks again Mary Pam

I am SO ready. I cleaned and got ready last night until about 2 am and I am sure I will just redo everything I did yesterday on Sunday. I am so excited for the three of us! I am going to my parent's house in Lake Geneva later today. I need to get away from the naysayers for the weekend, I don't want anyone to try and scare me out of this. Anyone else have any exciting plans?

My mom was supportive from day one. She said that if she had this opportunity at my age, she would have done the same thing. My dad was not happy about it in the beginning. My dad is very old school european- he would rather suffer than have surgery for anything. He has come around though, he is still scared because it is surgery, but he knows how much this means to me and how much i need this.
