Saturday Roll Call

Good afternoon everyone! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just trying to conserve my energy as much as possible.  I went to my post-op visit with my surgeon yesterday and I have officially lost 26 pounds so far!  Yeah me!!  He also tol me that I can resume all activities as tollerated.... So I'm just trying to add a little each day.  Today I drove as my son has 2 birthday parties to attend today.  He also told me that if I want to go back to work before my next appointment in 6 weeks, to call the office so they can release me.  I just laughed.... I am planning on enjoying this time off as long as possible!!  I've earned the sick time... I'm gonna use it! Other than that nothing much here.  I am feeling surprisingly good, and haven't had any nausea or vomiting.  which is very good.... I hope everyone has the chance to enjoy this beautiful day. Cindy

Hi Cindy.......26 pounds already?   Wow!  Sounds like you're bouncing back real good!   ENJOY that time off.....this is all about you!   So glad to hear that you are recovering so well!   Pam

Hi all.  Feeling much better today. Went to the beauty salon and had my hair lightened and highlighted.  I really got to figure out why my digital camera is refusing to comunicate with my computer.  I've changed since my Avatar was posted.  50 lbs lighter, shorter, lighter hair.  Jeff still hasn't seen yet yet what I did to my hair today.  HHe heard my daughter exclaim "Oh my gosh.  What did you do to your hair!?" when I walked into the house (I was on the cell phone with him at the time.) So he wanted to talk to Sam about what I did to my hair.  Sam told him I died it blonde with pink and brown highlights.  She gave the phone back and asked if I had really gone blonde.  I let him believe it for a while.  Then fessed up that it's still bruentte but with lighter, golden brown highlights.  He let out a sigh of relief.   Went to the gym after the salon and met up with a friend to work out.  We are meeting again tomorrow around 11.  Need to go get Jeff out bed pretty soon and make him go for a walk with me and enjoy this wonderful fall day.  Jeff called at 1 to say he was laying down to take a nap. My parents will be home tomorrow from their month long vacation.  Can't wait to see them.  They had a wonderful 2 weeks in Hawii.  Hope they took lots of pictures!! Hope everyone has a good weekend.  I'll be thinking of all of you that are are having surgery on Monday and say some prayers for you as well.  Pam what hospital are you having your surgery done at?   Shelley

Shelley, You mean to say that Jeff doesn't want to date a blond? hehe, I just told my DH that he had to take a walk. Oh course he just got home from work, and a few other things are more important at the min. I told him he had 10 min to finish what he neded to do, because I know if he gets lunch and sits down on his recliner, that will be the end of it.  Lisa

Hi All, I have been MIA for about 2 days. My internet has been down.  I am a graduate of SuperCuts Academy. I finished up my cutting classes on Friday and now I am on the cutting floor. I am so siked and am now able to make a lot more money. Life is good for now. I also have been nursing a bad cold. I havent had a cold since I had my RNY over 5 years ago. Go figure.  Good luck on all the surgeries that are going on this week. You guys will do great!!!!! I got to practice being a grandma today. I babysat my cousin who is 2. Boy did that kick my butt!!!!! I havent been around a 2 yr old for that long in a long time. I had her all day. I took her to buy some new crocs for her feet!!!!! We got her some bright red ones. I have her again on Tuesday night for a while. Hope all is well.  Carla
