I just got off the phone (505pm) with Don and he just spoke with Dr Rosen. Dr Rosen had to open her up because of either a twisted bowel or intestine. Don could not remember which it was. She will be in the hospital 3 days. She will go from recovery to a step down unit ( ? ) then into a room. She will be in recovery for about 1 1/2 hours then into a room. I am going to try to get down to see her either on Tuesday or by the latest on Wednesday.  Chris

Thanks for the post Chris.  I will try to see her tomorrow, I have to work on Wed evening.  Sounds like she had a rough surgery.  I remember how devasted I was when I woke up from having gallbladder surgery years ago.  I was going in for laprascopic and ended up w/ open.  I was so devastated but knew they had to do what they had to do. Hi Chris,

Thanks for the update on Pam.  She has come through surgery and they will keep a close watch on her.  From all  hear, she is in great hands with Dr. Rosen.  I will keep her in my prayers for a speedy recovery.  I am glad you  were able to give her friend information.  I think it is much harder to be the person waiting than the person in surgery, from my experience.  That waitingand the games our minds can play can be a nightmare.

Thanks

Mary

Im confused. Shes not in any danger now is she? Were these issues a result from her surgery or they were pre op but they found them? Please let me know thanks

Sandra, there is a danger for anyone that undergoes ANY type of abdominal surgery for the PO recovery. Everyone's anatomy is different from the next person's.  This was found after the doctor was in there and it has nothing to do with what was found a couple of months ago. Dr Rosen will monitor her very carefully and she should come through this with flying colors. Chris
