Thursday Morning Roll Call

Good Morning IL-What a beautiful day.  Glad to see Martha so positive about her upcoming big day. Thanks for the update on Pam,Chris-I will try to give her a jingle this p.m. if I get a spare moment.  I was on the phone all day yesterday making calls to family and arranging for flowers to be sent for my Aunt's funeral in Boston this Friday.  She passed Tuesday from pnuemonia and heart failure, she was 82 and was a very remarkable lady.  At 80 she had a complete aorta replacement, WHILE she was undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer,  and before she could even recover she developed calcified sores on her left leg that turned gangrenous and she lost the leg from the knee down.  She went to re-hab and learned to walk again on her prothesis she named "Josephine", and even was able to swim in the back yard pool, with out her leg on!  She always had a smile and a twinkle in her eye that lit up the room.  All she ever wanted when she was sick  was her hairbrush.  My fondest childhood memories are of family times in Boston w/her and my uncle and cousins at big family get togethers.   She was married to my Uncle Arthur for 33 years, when he passed in'80 and never took off her wedding ring or even dated.  She never drove, but she got around Boston like the Tazmanian Devil on the MTA!  She made the BEST boiled dinner(it's a New England thing!)  I will miss her terribly-we talked often and she was as sharp as a tac****il the end.  I rejoice in knowing she is with her Arthur and my mom and Gram and safe in God's hands.  Everyone have a great day and I will get a Baby Lincoln update  for you later.  Gina, Pam and Kristen-keep on the mend-and you too Lisa!  Hang in there Janet, glad home is getting better Monica-men-pains in the tusch sometimes aren't they?  Big Hugs to all-Janet K

Today,  I have some haircuts I need to do and I am going grocery shopping ugh! I hate grocery shopping. Other than that the same old laundry and fun things like that... Nothing much new just keeping busy time is flying by and I have alot to do still..I will be praying for baby Lincoln and Pam, Kristen and Gina, for all to make a fast recovery.. Oh my dear Janet! I am so sorry that you are going through all these roadblocks - so to speak. Sorry to hear about your aunt passing away. You've just had so much on your plate, you need a rest! Willow and I will be in sunny Phoenix tomorrow and return on Monday. We're going to the OH conference. There's going to be a costume ball. I'm going as a Grecian Goddess. It will be nice and hot there. I will be wearing one of my bikinis! YAY!!! So. if I am not here it's because I'm in the pool or with my OH peers. Take care everyone. Now someone is going to have to be naughty in my place ,.Who will it be? Maybe Christina?? Go, Christina, Go!!

Me??  Naughty??     Ok, Ok.. Maybe I am a prune!  I forgot what it fealt like to be naughty Lucy.  I sure hope you and Willow have a wonderful time on the conference.  I would like to go to a conference some day.  Sounds like a blast. Janet -  I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your Aunt.  It sounds like you have many very fond memories to hold onto. Good day everyone!  It's already after 7pm, but I just got home from Tyler's first basketball game...boy did they lose bad!  oh well.  Jacob is making dinner for us so I thought I would come here and catch up.   I just had work today and then came home and got Mike and Austyn and met Jacob at the school for the game.  Nothing too exciting. I hope that everyone had a wonderful day, the weather has been such beautiful fall weather!  I love it.
