Good Mroning Illinois! I'm at work a bit early today, so I can sneak this in.   Last night, David went to the Fall Sports awards and received his first numbers and pin for his letterman's jacket.  Now, I just have to figure out where I can get him the jacket.  The ordering through the school occured while we were in Florida.  Does anyone know where I could look?  We would like to get it as a Christmas gift. Olivia leaves this morning for her "outdoor education" unit with the 6th grade at her school.  They go to White Pines Ranch near Oregon and stay until Friday.  She is very excited.  David had a great time when he went 3 years ago.  Our house will be a bit quieter with her away, she is very active. That's about all I am up to at the moment.  I am hoping that all the newbies are doing well.  Please hang in there, the first week is the worst!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi Dawn and IL, Happy Wednesday, it is chilly today but it is a bright sunny day in Chicago.  I am not sure on the jacket, can you call the school and ask where they order from and then call and place your own order ? Wow, White Pines Ranch, is that the same as the White Pines Dude Ranch ?  If so, that place  is great.  I went years ago when I was a  Girl Scout and  we had a blast.

To all the newbies, I agree with Dawn, that first week was a bit rough.  I'd actually forgotten how rough until my sister reminded me the other day.  My first few nights were spent sleeping in a big chair with an ottoman as I was too sore to get in and out of bed.  Chicken broth makes me gag at the sight of the can, lol  On the positive side, my first post op taste of cottage cheese was like dying and going to heaven, I savored every bite.

Each day post op brings you closer to better health and greater energy, just relax and take it slowly.  Even though the surgery was quick, it was and is a major shock to our bodies, take the time now to gain your strength for the journey ahead of you.

Check the internet for Bergman's Sporting Goods in Milwaukee...They keep a large selection on hand and may have the school colors needed.  They also will do embroidery if you want his name stitched on it.

I LOVE White Pines.  I went there for a summer camp when I was 12!  Tyler went 4 years ago, in 4th grade, for outdoor education.  Olivia will have a blast.  My parents live literally 5 minutes from there too!

Good Morning Everyone! It's been really busy here at work and it's looking like it's going to be pretty crazy the rest of the year.  I was advised to take off next week at the restaraunt and to be prepared for some late nights since we are going "live" with our new system on Monday.  Corporate will be in all next week.   I can hardly wait  Not much else going on...   Have a great day! Good Morning IL. I'm a bit late getting on today. Work has been insane and I have been fighting with some designers most of the morning. This is such a busy time of year for everyone. I'm glad its less windy than yesterday, that was horrible. I went to my second week post op appointment yesterday and I have already started to plateau. The nurse suggested I advance my diet to more soft/solid foods now because I am starving 99% of the day. I have a fill scheduled for November 20, I'm super excited!  Hope everyone has a great day!
