OT - BUGS!!!!!

Oh, these lady bug beatle thingys are driving me nuts!   . They make me want to  I was just mentioning to Dave the other day that maybe we will not have them this year because I had only seen one or two in the house. Well, let me tell you I killed at least 2 dozen last night by flushing them down the potty or running water on them in the sink or plain squishing them in a tissue. I think I would rather have the cicadas, they come for a while and then die off - every 17 years. These little critters will stick around in the house even after you have a hard freeze outside. I know it is not my house keeping (which leaves a lot to be desired at times, I hate to dust) because a girl I work with who is a neat freak has them like crazy, we were just talking about them today. How in the heck do they get in the house anyways? I know some of them come as a free ride on your clothing or as you open the door but heck - we kill dozens of them a day!  Heaven help me please!! There isn't any help for them. We even had them in the house in January last year. I think they come in and hide, and just when you think they left your house, they let you know that the jokes on you.  Lisa

I forgot to mention that they stink when you excite or squish them. UCK! they were supposedly brought in as a bug to get rid of another pest and now they are a pest themselves. I know what you mean about when January comes around, those little stinkers are still here as are the Box Elder bugs. Chris

I know that feeling I have those and a few box elders and my son screams every time he sees them LOL..... I hate those little buggars..

The box elder bugs will fly into your face and those stinky red bugs (which they are not lady bugs but a Japanese beetle) will bite you. Chris

Chris, We have them really bad also!!!  My parents had them so bad in the past that the whole ceiling of the office and skylights were covered!  My parents live out in the country (Gilberts,IL) and they finally broke down and get an exterminator!!  Guess what???  They have not seen one of those bugers this year in the house!!  No spiders,bees,box celders or any other gross thing!  I really am considering doing the same thing.  My mom said they come 4 times a year and it's $75 a visit.  Well worth the money in my opinion!!!!! Ooh I hate those things.  They are on the dogs every time they come in the house.  Our back yard faces the East and it seems that every afternoon the whole side of the house and the sliding doors are covered in them.  I wish I knew how to kill them off for good too!

I too have them here they are such a pain, I also have the boxelder (sp) bugs too, and they just  drive me but what can you do,
