GM girls and boys from the North Woods of the WI Dells area. We are socked in with dense fog here this morning. Dave and I are getting a ton of walking in. Yesterday we walked close to 6-7 miles. I have a GPS pedometer and it is tracking our every move. I have another more advanced one that I am using today that will track how far I walk indoors. It has a unit that is attached to my shoe and then I have the wrist band to receive the info. I am heading off to Kohl's and Wally World  here in a while when they open leaving Dave back in the room because he needs to get some computer work done before he starts the day.  Then I will come back and we will eat some of our left overs from the other night and then head off to the Tanger Outlet mall. It is not a really big mall but we will loop around it several times window shopping. We have not planned what we are going to do this afternoon. Probably come back to the room, park the car and then walk locally near the hotel.  We have some newbie POs that are MIA. Come out, come out where ever you are and give us an update.   Bye for now Christine

Good morning Christine. You and Dave sure do get a lot of walking and activity on a daily basis. I have to applaused you on that one . I've been a very busy girl getting my house ready before my PS on Saturday. Today I have to tackle the first floor in addition to cleaning out the refrigerator and doing the both bathrooms. I've got Val's room ready for her. I completely stripped the bedding and washed it all. I had tons of garbage bags to take out last night. I threw out a ton of stuff I haven't used in years. It's amazing what you find at the bottom of a closet. A trip to Walmart on the way home for some cleaning stuff. Tomorrow's even busier as I have my appointment with Dr. Madry and then at the end of the day, a visit to the beauty shop for a touch up and hair cut. I want to have everything done by Thanksgiving Day except for the personal grooming stuff. I am working the entire week too. Friday night I want to be restful. Dinner and some relaxation before my early wake up call and on the way to the surgicenter. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. so it's going to be an early start for Val and I. Whew, I am tired just writing all of this. I know I will be at peace on Friday and then I'll have a week off for recovery. Enjoy your day! Happy Tuesday to all my friends here. Hugs, Lucy

Good Morning Chris, Dave and the resto of Illinois!!! I am glad that you and Dave are having a nice time away.  It is SOOOO good to step out of your normal life every now and again. Lucy.......please remember to take care of yourself as you get ready for this Saturday.  Chris is right.....You need to make sure you get a lot of protein in.  It will help with healing. Where IS everyone?????  I see we have A LOT of lurkers-------come on out and give us an update!!! After work, I will be picking up half a cow to stuff in my freezer for the next year.  (Dave, I'm going to Eickman's.......)  I cleaned out the freezer last night to get ready. This year, we are going to (try to) start a new tradition.  Since my inlaws INSIST that we go to her house for Thanksgiving (long drawn out story.......) we are going to have a game night the night before.  This year, it will just be us and the kids, maybe in the future, we will invite others.  We are going to have appetizers, snacks and board games.  It might be a fun way to celebrate and prepare for the "interesting" day to follow.  (Todd's family is "different" to say the least.....and I really do not enjoy spending time with them.) I know that Shana is having surgery today, so everyone keep her in your thoughts. Gotta get back to work......come on out and let us know what is going on in your world today.

Tell someone that you love them!

Oh, Miss Pam! You made me laugh already with this message. I love to be naughty! Tomorrow I am going to wear a black lace bra that has rhinestones in the middle between the two cups and my midnight blue lace thong. I will have to take it off for him but he will see me with it on at first!   I know, naughty, naughty Lucy. I'll be seeing him around 11:45 tomorrow morning. I got to start writing down my questions for the doc!  Pam, I gotta tell you that after my big cleaning up last night, I feel more like myself again. I've been so down in many ways, my job, my social life, and then my weight gain. Maybe it is like purging myself of all the unnecessary things. Don't know! Maybe it makes me feel more in control again. Being organized is what I do best. I just saw your "Ho-Chunk" message to Christine B and started laughing again... Girl, you are making my day! Lucy

Pam, Ho-Chunk is considered in the WI Dells, tho it really is closer to Lake Delton and 90/94. Lake Delton and the Dells are like sister towns. If a person did not know where one stopped and the other started you would think it was all the Dells.  I may get flamed for the rest of this but I do not care. I do not give my money to the Indians. We did go to dinner there once because Dave heard that they had prime steaks. I did not want to go. After we got there I thought the restaurant was really cold and inpersonal, not homey at all. When we got our bill we were shocked to see that they do not charge ANY sales tax, meaning that they also do not have to pay any tax on anything that is purchased there.  So that means that they got all profit on what was charged to us when we bought our meal. They are laughing all the way to the bank. It will be a cold day in hell when I go back there. They make such an issue up here that they are second class citizens. . . . Chris

Dawn, I told Dave where you were getting your 1/2 of cow from and he said wow. Dawn, the new tradition you are trying to start sounds like fun. We are all for making new memories. Take care. Chris
