Thanksgiving Day Roll Call

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving. Since I am up early and at work, I am starting the roll call for the day. It's nice and quiet here at work. No phone calls or interruptions. I'm just going to do my minutes from yesterday's meeting and then I'm out of here. After yesterday's appointments and the awful weather, I feel like I had the life of me sucked out. I feel so drained right now. I did get to wash my floors. My house is done. YAY!!! Tonight I will take care of my personal needs - removal of nail polish, etc... so I can be carefree on Friday night. All is left is a shower and washing my hair. I don't have to take anything with me to the surgicenter except for photo ID and insurance card. I'm going to my Mom's for Thanksgiving dinner. I'll be at work tomorrow but will try to leave early. Christine B. I told Andrea where you were at and a hello too. She said to tell you "hello" and that she is jealous that you are in Wisconsin. With all the excitement, I forgot to tell Dr. Steve a "Hello" from you and Dave. Sorry about that. I didn't know that Robin would be talking with me about pre and post-op instructions and give me the consents to read over. Then Dr. Steve came in and talked with me and we discussed what was going to be done. I had to change into a paper gown and then he came back in and examined me and marked me up to show me the areas that are going to be lipo'd. I still have most of the ink marks on me. LOL! The office was quite busy and of course, I had to pay upfront for my surgery. I got my post-op prescriptions so I can get them filled tomorrow. I tried to set up my post-op appointment with him for Monday or Tuesday, but right now he is triple booked according to Andrea. So I have an appointment to see him on Wednesday. Good Morning Lucy and Illinois friends!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Well I have been up since 5am Turkey is in the oven!  Yah!!! I am having Thanksgiving this year it will be so nice to sit around with family and friends.  As for me and dinner actually I could care less I swear I had surgery on my taste buds!  LOL Every thing I put in my mouth tastes horrible! Even stuff I loved pre-op!!! I am THANKFUL for that! I have never been able to not let food control me. It is amazing to actually think maybe I didn't LIKE food as much as I thought I did! I am THANKFUL for my family, friends, health, for my surgeon!!!, and my RNY, that God provides all my needs! Good morning Jenn. Ah, I remember the drastic change in my taste buds in the beginning. Everything was too salty or sweet. I could care less about food. Enjoy this time as it will change and you will get your taste buds back as well as your appetite! I can smell that turkey baking in the oven! Yes, I am thankful too for my WLS surgeon and now for the past year, my plastic surgeon. Of course, I am thankful for all my friends here on the IL board. Jenn, thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my upcoming surgery in 2 days. YIKES! I'll be on the operating room table in less than 48 hours . How big is your turkey and what time are you eating? Don't dry it out by over cooking it. I hate overcooked turkey. Yes, your taste buds are affected when PO for a while. It is usually the ketosis that your body is going through. Your taste for foods will come back after your body slows down burning off the fat as fuel.   Enjoy your time with family and friends around the table that you are preparing. Chris

Hi Christine... Happy Thanksgiving! My Turkey is 15 pounds stuffed directions say 4 1/2 hours until turkey is 180 degrees... I got good ole' Tom in the oven at 6:30am so I am thinking  by 11 he should be done then I can have my oven back for the fixins... We are planning to eat at noon... I like to have "dinner" early so we can watch movies or play games and have some time in the evening to relax plus everyone eats twice which is good I hate leftovers my fridge is too small!  I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving!!! Good morning my Lucy and the rest of IL. Yes, you beat me up and to the roll call. I just rolled out of bed about 10 minutes ago. Man it has taken me close to a week to get my body to sleep in while on vacation. The rest of the wee****ep waking up here and at home I am always waking up 3-4 times a night. Oh, Andrea and all of those ladies at his office are so cute but not as cute as he is. Andrea's family has a cabin up here about 5 miles from where I am writing this from. Talking of where we are at - we are going to just sit around the room and have a little snack before going out for brunch. I will just lounge, surf and read a little. I have to catch up on some of my bible study lessons. The little church we went to last night for the eve service was really cute. I love country churches. It was full of locals and they had a choir from all the other collective churches that were participating that was really great. We got back to the hotel and walked to Moosejaw a local micro brewrey and we shared a personal size pizza. That is what the left over snack is for breakfast. Soggy crust pizza from a microwave is not the greatest but it will do.    Lucy, you take care. It sounds like you have everything under control for Saturday. Enjoy your time with your mom and family. Good morning Chris and Dave. I wish I was with you in Wisconsin. You both always seem to have a great time no matter where you are at! Yes, I am ready. Now the reality of it is really sinking in as well as the fear! Actually Dr. Steve looked quite good yesterday as he didn't have that growing in beard look. I got a nice big hug yesterday! I'll be so happy when it's over and I am on my way home with Willow. I'm going to be one sore puppy with all that lipo. My body looks like a war zone with all the markings he made yesterday. It reminded me of an episode on Nip & Tuck when Christian Troy marked up someone with lipstick. I was ready to give Dr. Steve my lipstick to mark me... LOL! I'm ready for your breakfast... blink me over! OK, time to get back to my minutes. I'm almost done! Happy Thanksgiving and Gobble, Gobble! Hugs, Lucy

Yeah, I am not fond of the scruffy beard either. I think that those are usually night/days that he has been on call and has not gotten close to a shaver when he looks like that. I am glad that I am not a man, I think it sucks to shave my legs!  I cannot imagine having to shave my face daily. Just give him the {{{cyber hug))) I am sending to him right now.  You got marked already? He always marked me with a pretty purple marker at the surgicenter that morning. Yes, I was really sore with the lipo but I had a thigh lift at the same time. The bruising and swelling went away pretty fast for me. I would say I was only swollen for about 2 weeks in the thigh area.

 

Chris still have not eaten so I cannot blink you any pizza yet.

Chris, he marked me up so that I could see in the mirror what he was going to be able to lipo. He's going to mark me up again on Saturday as some of it will go away by then. I'm having a lot of lipo done so I will be having a lot of discomfort and swelling. I'll give him your hug and my hug on Saturday morning! YAY!! More hugs. I love that. I like him clean shaven! I hope he looks that way on Saturday. I'd be willing to shave him myself. LOL! Maybe on one of your future trips I could join you and Dave?? Are you eating the pizza yet??

Good Morning Everyone.......Happy Thanksgiving.            Chris, I am always jealous of you and Dave when you head up north!   But as much as you 2 do....it is well desearved! Lucy sounds like it has sunk in for the PS, Gotta keep yourself busy so you can ignore your nerves!   BTW  I thought you liked Sean from nip tuck.......I want Dr. Troy!    Even though he is showing his age this season!   I still think he's a hottie!   LOL Have a nice day!
