The Ins Co. Said What!!!!!
I was thinking of you on my way home last night and I have to tell you what happened to me, maybe it will help you get it done before the end of this year:
Once I finally got approval, it was mid-Septemeber. I called my surgeon's office and told them and she said it would take probably 2-3 months before surgery could be scheduled. I told her that my end of year for insurance was 10-31, and due to that wierdness, the out-of-pocket/deductible "ticker" made it so that I would not want to do anything that costly until after the first of the year, so we would have to wait until then.
At first she said that was the best she could do and we hung up.
She called back no more than 15 minutes later with a "cancellation" for 10-27.
How CONVENIENT.......for both them AND me. I was then "fast-tracked" to get all my pre-op stuff done and had surgery before Oct. 31.
So, let your surgeon's office know how important it is for you to be done before the end of the year. It may just work for you too. Can't hurt to push them a tiny bit.......
Good luck!
