I am up bright and early!  Coffee going in!  Today is my day to start getting back on track, and try some exercising again if the foot and shoulder let me.  Going to the doc for the shoulder today, my luck it is arthritis...lol  Here is wishing everyone pre op or waiting for approval that 2008 is your year, and those of us post op stay on track. Good Morning Dee and the rest of IL.  I have to go back to work today after being off over a week.  Not fun, but needed...lol My middle son woke up this morning with really bad chest pain and scared the heck out of all of us.  I really thought we were going to be in the ER today...then he threw up and is now fine!  go figure.  I have NO clue what happened there.   After work I plan on working out and then doing some homework. I hope eveyrone has a wonderful day and that this year things work out for everyone!!

Good Morning and Happy New Year! We had a great time on New Year's Eve with the neighbors and the fondue.  We used broth instead of oil for the meat and it was yummy.  I think I ruined the electric fondue pot though because I can't get the cord out.  They probably aren't made to be on for 4 hours straight. I am glad to see that everyone stayed safe in the awful weather and that Wendi and Michelle are both home and recovering. After work today I will go to pick up my husband as our daughter is using his car to start her new job.  Olivia has a Girl Scout thing so it will just be me and the boys for supper.   Everyone please stay WARM and have a lovely day!

I'm just waiting for 9am to roll around so I can start making dr appointments.  I need to schedule 5 appointments today.  I scheduled one alreay.  My post barriatric class.  I am going to attend that tomorrow.  I just wanted it out of the way before I have to go back to work.  I really don't understand how Dr Krane does not have evening hours for his classes.  Oh well, I'm not going to start venting.  It is a beautiful 7 degrees here in Lindenhurst and I am inside enjoying my warm fuzzy slippers and the company of my OH friends.  Everyone stay warm and enjoy your day!      ~Michelle

Good Morning Dee and the rest of Illinois. I dressed like an bear this morning and got to work early . We have some blowing snow down here, and I wanted to be able to drive slower then normal. I am on my second cup of coffee, and just finished a protein bar for breakfast. Hope the Dr gives you a good report today.  Ronna, good luck with your first day of work. You could of asked Santa for a slightly warmer start for you. Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs

Good Morning Illinois!  I'm at work today, after 11 days of rest and relaxation!  It's still quiet since the kids don't come back to school until Monday!  I hit the YMCA this morning after several days of no formal exercise.  We did have fun in the snow in Mundelein and our lake is frozen which makes for good ice skating and cross country skiing.  Being three years out of WLS, I'm really going to focus on getting these last 20 pounds off!  I've gotten too comfortable in my own skin...eating too many carbs and sugar!  UGH!  I'm hoping the message board can continue to give me motivation and ideas for moving more and eating less!

Hi everyone. I haven't been around lately but I hope the Holidays were wonderful. I have been having a hard time keeping food down the past few days (stress related I assume) and now I have nagging port pain. Dr. Rantis' nurse says I should just wait it out and it will be nothing, but it is annoying to sit here in pain all day. Our property management company forgot to turn the heat back on so this morning when I got here it was only 50 degrees in our suite. It still hasn't passed 55. I think this is going to be a long long day. Hope everyone else is doing well! Kristen

ITs to cold to do anything today.  I wanna go gambling, I am bored lol.  We dont have anyone to watch the kiddies! I went for my 6 months lab tests today, so hopefully eveything is good! Keep warm everyone! ~Dawn
