Hey all, I am in Rkfd,Il wanting to know if anyone knows if Medicade covers the surgery or lapband. I was in 4 car accidents so my back is all messed up & I am gaining like kraZy & Ihad my thyroid out last yr which isnt helping my matabbolism any either..

Hey Robia, I do know that Peoria Surgical Group does accept it. I know that is a ways away from you. I just wanted to let you know. I am sure that more ppl around your area will know more. Have you tried talkin to your PCP and see if they know of any dr associated with them. Good luck on your journey and stay strong. Measha

I do believe that Mercy Hospital in Chicago and Silver Cross in Lockport/NewLenox/Joilie (can't remember which town that is in) take Medicaid for the band.  You might want to call them.  I am not sure on the name of the surgeons though. I hope that helps

She said less than 3 mos They are pretty fast!! wow Im so excited The doc has been doing them since they came out she said like 7-8 yrs ago!! but in practice 30 yrs..
