Friday Roll Call

Well, guess what  More snow for the weekend. Well, you know what they say about the weather in Chgo, stick around and it will change in about 5 minutes. I wi**** would start taking on that idea a little more when the weekends roll around. Well, now that I got that off of my chest - what is going on in your world  Kim, is there any update on your dad? Pneumonia can be a scary thing for an older person and the family. He will get good medical care there. Good hospital, I was born there. Lucy, are you there? We all miss you, pop in if you can. We would like to hear an update on how you are doing. Ladies, how are those new babies doing? How special to hold a brand new baby in your arms. Wendi, STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALE! Christina, how is Calvin doing and of course yourself? How are some of the rest of our new POs? We are here to help you. Dave and I are meeting with his aunt, cousin and her girls for dinner tonight. We will hop the train to Bartlett and eat at a little Chinese/Japanese rest. right by the station. Dave's aunt has not seen us since our weight loss, nor do they know about our surgeries. Unfortunately, the one cousin (she is preggo) works with a friend of Dave's and this friend opened his mouth about our surgery without asking if it was ok. We think that the mom of the young cousin knows but does not ask us anything. The mom lives in AZ with the aunt (her mom). One of the cousin girls is having a baby and the mom, sister and aunt are here for the baby shower. I bowed out of the shower because I did not want to go and field personal questions from them because they can ask the darndest things. Well, you know about the quote - you can choose your friends but you cannot choose your family? They are great people, but I am a really private person and they get under my skin. Is there much going on in your world this weekend or is the same ole, same ole? I am still in the organize mode in the basement. I got the other shelving unit put together. There is a lot of stuff all over the place, but it will all come together soon. Should have done this years ago when we moved in. Also have been going through some of the trashy Christmas junk and throwing things away. I have emptied 3 storage bins already.  Well, need to get ready for work. Christine

Well Good morning everyone,  I am up early and getting ready for a busy day, I have a dentist appt and then the trainer, I still need to pack and help the kids pack we are going away to Blue Harbor for the weekend, I am excited about getting away for a bit...I stepped on the scale this morning ( I know Pam I wasn't suppose to but I did ) and I gained a pound. How the heck do I do that. Boy this stall is hanging around and I am not sure what I am doing wrong..... I agree we all mis Lucy where is she, I hope she is ok and doing well... Kim your Father is in my prayers but he is in a great Hospital, my DH was there for one of his heart attacks and they were great there...I am hoping we have a nice weekend my daughter turns 12 this Saturday and DH just turned 45 hence the reason we are going... right now I am sitting here drinking tea and I need to get moving but I am stuck beating my self up over this weight.... I hope everyone has a great weekend, talk to you all later....

Christina, LOL I was so trying to stay away and it was calling ,my name LOL.... How is Calvin doing ? How is he adjusting??? I am so hoping we have a nice weekend. I didn't work out as I had to get two fillings on my teeth so now I am praying I don't hurt this weekend in my mouth.....I will work out at the Gym they have there... Hope you have a family fun weekend.  Calvin is good.  He's so tired of liquids but oh well, we all know how that is now don't we??? Good morning Illinois! I have a closet that needs to be cleaned out today so I just dumped everything in it on the sofa which will force me to finish when I get home. Otherwise it's off to work for a few hours and then a few errands. Have a good day!

Good Morning everyone!  I am off of work today, which is actually a good thing since I slept really bad last night and have a killer headache right now.  I got up and got the kids off to school and I think I may go and lay back down a bit.  The only 2 things have I HAVE to do today are run to the store for milk and eggs and get the boys to their dad's house later.  Oh and laundry!  darn it.  lol

Once my headache goes away, I will do some homework and hopefully work out on the elliptical for a while. 
I hope that everyone is doing well and not checking in as often because they are enjoying their wonderful lives and nothing is wrong. 

Christine, you are motivating me to do the same with our basement. With my health the last few years, I really haven't done any major basement cleaning. Our oldest daughter and her family will be coming for dinner tonight. I am planning a WLS friendly meal of chicken. This will be the first time other then Christmas Eve that we will be able to use our new dining room set.  The rest of the weekend will be normal, DH is working, and I will be getting into something or other. ( maybe the basement) Keeping everyone in my thoughts. Hugs

Good Morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!! Good for you to be getting everything cleaned up and organized.  I will finish putting the remainder of the Christmas things away this weekend.  I understand about family.  Although I do not really have any family of my own to speak of, my relationship with Todd's family is legendary (and not in a good way......). I am missing Lucy, but praying that she is OK, just taking a break.  Maybe her computer crashed???? Praying for Kim's Dad and family too. I just have work today, then home to a week's worth of left-overs.  Tomorrow, we will "divide and conquer".  Todd and David are going to Dixon to a Merit Badge Pow Wow all day and I will be taking Olivia to Stockton for her basketball game.  Maybe we will head into Galena, but maybe we will just go home and get the house in shape (or maybe we'll sneak in a movie). No huge plans for Sunday.  I will try to check in over the weekend, but if not, everyone have a lovely time!
