Prayers needed surgery on 1-15-08

Hey ya all.  I been on here for a while mostly read sometimes ask questions.  This sight has been wonderfull and everyone on it.  I am having surgery on Tuesday been on liquied diet since 1-5-08 doing  good can't wait till I can have a little more he he.   Need everyones prayers, I have been up and down with this ever since I got the approval.  Ya see I have lost 35 pounds allready and have the feeling that I can do it but then I think back to all the times that I failed and gained it back and more, and that makes me realize that I am doing the right thing. I am going to Chicago, I live close to St. Louis.  I am nervous about the trip home as well as the surgery, my Dr. was also concerned about me living so far away.  Thanks for reading and any prayers would be greatly appreciated.

I am wishing you an uneventful surgery and speey recovery on Tuesday.  I will be thinking of you and praying for you. On the trip home, just make sure to stop every hour and walk a bit to avoid blood clots.  Take a small pillow with you to hold against your abdomen to help cushion the bumps. In 6 months, you nervousness will be a distant memory as you realize how much better you feel.

Good luck on your upcoming surgery.  You will do just fine.  I would suggest if you can, to stay in a hotel for a day or two after the surgery to make sure you are still close to the hospital in case of any complications.  And as Dawn stated, make sure you stop at least every hour on the way home to get out and move around to prevent blood clots.
