Monday Roll Call

Good Morning IL.  I can't believe all this snow we got again.  oh well.

Today I have work and then nothing.  Jacob and I made a tie dye shirt last night for him since neither of us watched the Super Bowl.  It turned out okay, he says there's too much white, I say it's too pink.  The red didn't come out red at all.  oh well

I am hoping to hear from Michelle today to find out the next steps to get my surgery date.  I already have my appt set for the 14th with Dr Hart and I plan on going to Dr Crane's seminar on the 16th.  I know I have to see the hospital dietician, but don't know how to go about doing that.  Not sure what else I need to do yet.   I am assuming that I will see Dr Rantis again for an appt before hand right?    I have my list of questions for him.

I had to ground Tyler for the first time in about a year for whipping a quarter at Jacob and nailing him in the head.  Tyler has been a brat since coming home from the party last night.  Time to crack the whip I guess.  lol

I hope everyone has a warm and safe day today!!

Tie Dye????  I just LOVE tie dye!!! Don't ever use RIT dye.  It just does not work well. I'll let you know when the next tie dye party is and you can all come!

Omg we would so be there!   What kind of dye do you use?  The shirt that we made came out way too pink for Jacob...LOL   Guess I'll shrink into it.  It's an adult large!  lol

I'm sure you'll shrink into it and right back out of it.  Then you will have to use it for PJs! I use fiber reactive dye that I buy from Dharma Trading Co.  www.dharmatrading.com. We usually do the party at least once a year, usually for "Back-to-School".  I have a ton of pictures of some of the creations.  PM me if you are interested. Actually------maybe that is an idea for an Illinois Board get-together.  mmmmmmmmmmmm

I would love to see pictures Dawn!!  I am going to check out that website too, Jacob wants to make shirts for people!!  I want some too....I have a bunch of white shirts with little stains on them and if I tie dye them...who cares and like you said, I will just wear them as pj's...lol

That would be a fun idea for a get together....everyone can bring their own shirt and we could dye them!  woohoo

Explore the Dharma website and looke for the "directions" or something like that under "Tie Dye". It has pictures that will help.   I will try............you lay the shirt flat on the table.  You pinch it where you want the center of your swirl to be and twist, keeping the shirt flat on the table.  Keep twisting until you have a flat disk about 1 inch high and  the whole shirt is wrapped.  You then use the rubber bands in pie shapes to hold the disk all together. To get different colors, you will dye it in pie shapes with each color---one color to each "pie piece".  I use squirt bottles to be more exact. It sounds much more comlicated than it is.  I could show you in a heartbeat.......

Good Morning Jenn and the rest of Illinois! I missed most of the good commercials due to cooking.  The guys would be laughing their heads off, and by the time I got in there, there was nothing to see.  I jus****ched the Pepsi Max one with the bobbleheads online, and that would of been our favorite because as they were watching it and laughing their heads off, Todd kept saying, "They're doing the Todd Nod!!!!"   You see, when Todd falls asleep in his chair he does that exact same thing, and when she was small, Amber called it the "Todd Nod" and it has stuck ever since.  I am working today after a late start---hopefully we will get Todd's car back today---I hate that late feeling.  Both kids have after school activities today so I need to pick Olivia up at 5, and Todd and David also have an Life to Eagle Scout class this evening.  Good thing I made a ton of food yesterday for left-overs today. Thanks for reminding me about the taxes---I need to get a copy of my W-2 as it seems to have gone missing. Nothing else interesting going on today in my world, and I agree-----I am SICK of snow! Have a lovely day all!
