Sunday Roll Call. Oh baby it's cold

Good Morning my IL friends - It is bitterly cold this morning.    I was just sending Calvin off to work and oh my, it is freezing outside.  I think I'm going to crawl back under the covers.  What does everyone have planned for today?  I sure hope it includes indoor activities.  I have no reason to go out so I'll be putzin around the house. Tomorrow is Measha's big day.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Hope everyone has a safe, warm day.  If you do have to go out, bundle up! Christina

Good Morning Illinois friends... I am feeling better  this morning... As far as plans go for today we have church and then we are staying put it is COLD  out there! Good Morning all of Illinois.  Christina, its not only bitterly cold, but its windy too. Does anyome know how long this artic blast is to last? Last night we drove to Bloomington, Illinois to our daughters for Tacos. I found something else that the pouch doesn't like. Today, I am going to play catchup, and cook. I am going to prepare a few meals, so I can relax a bit when I get home from work. At least thats my plan. DH won't be home from wor****il 3 or so, so I have all day.  Good luck to Measha tomorrow. Who turned the heat off?  Freezing rain and sleet for us tomorrow down here in Southern Illinois.  I think I would rather have snow.  I did my running around yesterday while it was 60, and today and tomorrow I am staying in unless I have to babysit.  That is why I haven't been around, been babysitting a lot lately, and with a 4, 3, and a 1 year old, can't really get online.  Still thinking about ya all. Dee p.s.  When is the next get together?

I'm planning on staying inside today! I'm even hesitating is getting the newspaper off the porch. That's why I'm on the computer now! Oh well, the sun is out and the sky is blue and we were all fussing about gray and dismal a couple of days ago. So stay inside and look out the window!

Good Morning Ill, Just getting everything ready for tomorrow. Things here are actually pretty calm. I am going to get as much school work done as possible. My best friend is coming to spend the night cause we have to be up and out of here by 4 am.  Thanks Christina and Jenn. This site has been such a blessing and to tell you the truth I dont know if I would have made it this far with out you guys. Tomorrow Ill be joining you guys on the losers bench. I never thought Id be saying it and now I want to yell it. Once again thanks for all the support. Measha

Cold is an understatment!! burrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! I had to go out  and move the car so hubby could head out for South Dakota. I just put on a hat, gloves and my robe over the pj's. I live in the country and on Sundays there is very rarely any cars well today there was one. I must have looked a sight out in this wind in pj's and hat and gloves. Oh well it will give them something to talk about the rest of the day. Going to Galesburg and check out the clearance racks.  Getting my 6 yr old grandson new slippers and pj's he is having knee surgery possibly on Tuesday.  He fell on a sewing needle around Thanksgiving we thought it just  poked a hole in his knee. Then a few weeks ago he fell in gym class and his knee swelled up and he got this huge knot on his knee. Then Friday night he fell again and he screamed so bad that yesterday we took him to ER and the x-ray showed the needle. Its about 3/4 in long.  He was so excited to see this! He wanted a copy to show his class. So he had tickets for the Monster Truck show and he cried so the Er set him up to see the surgeon on Mon with surgery most likly on Tuesday. They can not tell if its infected untill they get in there so they put him on a antibiotic.  So please keep him in your prayers, when he had his tonciles out last year he stopped breathing during surgery shortly. So I am a little nervous.

Good Morning IL Friends!  It's so cold out and I don't want to go outside at all.  I am supposed to run to Walgreens to get a refill of Tyler's acne meds he takes, but am thinking that one day off of them won't hurt.  LOL 

Today I am going to clean out the hall cloest.  I have to start putting my shoe rack in there since all of a sudden the dogs have decided that mine and Mike's shoes taste good.  They have destroyed both of our Land's End shoes.  they have never chewed on shoes before even as puppies, so it's weird.  They have also taken to peeing in the house.  I just don't know what to do anymore. 
Mike is vacuuming right now, I hate our new Bissell pet hair vacuum and told him that I won't use it.  lol  so he does it all now. That's fine with me. 

The boys will be home later, mine usually get here between 3-4 and Austyn doesn't get home usually til around 7 or so.  Mike told Austyn's grandparents to talk to him and see if they could get out of him what's been going on.  Can't wait to hear what he tells them.  He's known for his lying and total exagerations.  oh well.

Stay safe and warm today, especially if you have to go outside.

Good Morning Illinois!

Glad I went to church last night...it's just bitter cold out today!  Let the dog out at 5:00a.m. and the wind was just howling.  She did her thing and came right back in...very unusual for our labrador!  I actually wish she could understand that she better enjoy the freedom now, because she's going in for CCL surgery on her leg on Tuesday.  Believe it or not, she had the other leg done in August!  I know what we're in store for, and I'm so sad for her.  Crazy how attached I am to this mutt! 

Well, I've got a paper to write for my graduate class but once I get on OH, I have a hard time getting off :)!  I love checking in with the different forums.  This Illinois site is great!  Really cool to chat with others in the area.

Measha, best of luck to you tomorrow!  I know everything will be great and then you'll join us on the loser's bench!  We'll be sending prayers and good thoughts your way!

Time to start writing...UGH!  Then I need to take a break and get to the grocery store to stock up for the week.  (Maybe that will wait!)  Stay warm today!

Well, little Christine slept in today, can you believe it? I woke up at 8am instead of my usual 5ish. I needed the extra rest. We went to a close friend's 40th surpirise party last night. We had a blast and WHAT A HOUSE!  4200' of massive house in Bartlett. Can you say surprised? This girl did not know anything. Well, I have already straightened out the pull out drawers under my cook top and now I am onto some ironing (I love to iron and I iron all of Dave's dress shirts, slacks and some of my jeans and other cotton type clothing). I am onto getting all the stuff out to pack for this coming weekend up in WI. Have a great day all.  & Christine
