Thursday Roll Call

Good morning kids - how is it going today? I wanted to put a sad smiley face in the title today because we lost the sun again to more snow showers later today. I need my vitamin D and it is getting depressing.  What is on your plate today? Yesterday I did not get as much done in the evening because I decided at the last minute to download some music to my MP3 player and I screwed it up in the end. I had to delete everything and start over again. It had been a while that I had done it and could not even remember how to do it. That took about 2 hours, then I found some new CDs that I have of some folk music that needed to be added . . . you get the idea. I started playing around and discovered that I had downloaded pictures from my computer and did not realize it, so now I have before and after pics on it, which is a WOOHOO. I always have my unit with me so I can show pics when talking with people about WLS.  Hey everyone why don't we start planning a get together like we had last fall? Dee mentioned it in the roll call yesterday. She could not make it up here due to her husband's job status (I think that was the situation) and she would really like to come. We needed to shelve the plans for fall last year but I thought it would be a great idea for us to start thinking about something other than SNOW. Is anyone willing to take the reins with the planning? It could be a couple or few that puts their heads together and does the planning. It does not have to be just one person making the plans. Thank about it.  Well, talk at ya all later. I will stop back in and see what is going on with all. I probably will not be able to respond but I will be thinking about what is going on with all. for now  & Christine

Good morning Illinois, and Happy Valentine's Day!  Now wait a minute, our ice down here is almost melted, and we also have snow coming .  Anybody want to run away to the Bahamas?...lol Anybody get anything good for Valentine's day, or do you give gifts?  We use to give each other something, now it may just be a card or an extra special hug.  See, I show my hubby each day I love him, why should it be any different on the 14th of February.  I think if you love someone you should show and tell them that everyday. I would love a get together.  I would take the reins, but I think it might be better if someone up north did it, since it seems more of you are from that way. Well, I think I may go lay down again, went to bed at midnight, my chihuahua had me up at 1, then hubby got up for work at 5, and he isn't quite...lol Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning,  Oh No! Not more snow and Gloom! We need to put our heads together and think spring. Maybe that would entice the Gods who plan the weather a jolt! This is my last workday this week, I am so looking forward to an extra day off this weekend. We don't do anything for Valentines Day. After 42 years, who needs a day to prove love. Hubert stayed at the hospital gor 6 days last spring, when I was in a coma, he stayed home for a week when I came home, he took me to most if not all of my Dr visits and supported me in my lapband.  I think that proves more then flowers or candy how much I am loved by him, And he knows by my actions That I love him.  Now, that doesn't mean that sometimes I don't get upset about something or other, it does happen. But ith passes over quickly.  A get together sounds nice. Maybe DH will be able to come this time.

Happy Valentine's Day to all of my new and wonderful friends here at OH!!  We don't do anything for VDay here, just a hug and a kiss extra.  However we did forget to buy Austyn VDay cards for school...how horrible is that?  LOL  he didn't care at all actually.  He kept telling us it's okay and that it didn't matter. 

I am off here in a minute to Dr Hart's for my pulmonologist visit for clearance. Does anyone know how long it takes for him to send the report or whatever to Kane Center?  I reeeeaaaaaally want my surgery date....I need to plan time off of work and work around kid's sports schedule's and such.   Then I will be heading to the Elk Grove Library with my school work and I will hang out there for a while.  When that gets boring I will head to Golf Rd and hit some shops...Borders and the container store are def on my list!!  Tonight at 5pm I have my ultrasound at Kane Center. I am hoping to see Kim there too.  That will be nice, I can give her a hug in person. 

Well I have to go and get my stuff together and a snack for after the ultrasound since I can't eat or drink after 11am.

Happy Valentine's Day! I am going to my TOPS group with my Mom this morning... I weighed in yesterday at 350.0!!!  I can weigh on a regular scale now!  WooHoo!!! I am thinking about Measha I hope all is well with her and she is recovering! I hope everyone has a very nice day! Blessings Jenn

Good Morning Christine and the rest of Illinois! Happy Valentine's Day to each and every one of you!!!!  I am also of the belief that I don't need a special day to tell people in my life how much I love them.....I try to do it every day, multiple times! So to all of you.....you are all special to me! Last night, I had a "sick headache" so I did not get anything done.  That's just more to do tonight.  I will have to pack, make the snacks and a sugar free dessert for birthday celebrateing over the weekend.  I am really looking forward to this time away, it is always welcome. At one point, Lucy had talked of having a make-up get together at her club house.  If she is not interested anymore (as I would NEVER want to step on her toes, and she was SOOOO looking forward to the winter party), I could possibly work on something.  I would love to have it in Rock City, would everyone want to drive there?  Otherwise, maybe a pot-luck, picnic type thing at a park in Rockford or Belvidere?  Just an idea.  LUCY, where are you?????? That is a good idea about the pictures in the MP3 player.  I will download mine too. Glad to hear that Measha came through surgery and hope she is home soon.  Anyone heard abour Barb? Good morning everyone, Not much going on here just paying bills and cleaning up the house, Hey how do you all like my new hair cut and dye job. I love it so did hubby, we dont do anything for Valentines day's guess been married too long, but we love each other every day any way not just one day. Hope every one has a happy Valentine's day.
