Thursday Roll Call
Good morning Illinois! BURRRRRRRRRRRR When is spring going to be here! I get so cold! Look everyone I got a real person avatar! I'm all grown up....cartoon girl avatar is packed away! Janet K. I am so glad to hear from you, I know you lurk when you don't feel up to posting.....but I knew you had a lot on your plate! We all are still praying for you and Eddie! Christine how is your brother doing? I know that had to be a rough surgery as well as scarey! Prayers for you too! Also adding Daves' job to the list. Lucy.......I am so happy to see you on this board.....and already buying bikinis? That will snap you out of your depression! maybe that's what you needed? I think you're over due for one of your great vacations! Can hardly wait to see you and your new face....heard it was beautiful? Kim....play that music for your dad........stimulation is so good! When my dad had his strokes he got worse before he got better! He was more mad than depressed but he was mean at times too! He even took a punch at my mother, which is SO unlike him, we had a good laugh about it later on! (lot's later on) Amanda.....how was that book signing last weekend? Turn out good? Now all of you stay warm and have a great day! Hugs Pam
later on and see how they turned out. And for those that saw it did you see the perfectly placed triangle of three stars? In my eyes it was the symbol of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, sorry I will get off of my soap box now.
Pam, and everyone thank you for the inquiries and most of all the prayers for my brother, Jim. He did not go in until 230 yesterday (surprise, surprise). I sat with some of my family and my SIL family yesterday for close to 3 hours. I got a call from Kathy Sue my niece at 730 that he was out of surgery. They took the bottom and top lobes of the right lung out and there wasn't any sign of cancer. They sent out samples for closer lab analysis and the results will be back in 48 hours. They also did a quadruple bypass. He was to come out on a double vent, drains and would be sedated until about midnight when they would start to wake him. I did not want to see him like that and that is why I did not wait for him to come out of surgery. He is still not out the woods yet because he could end up on dialysis (temporary) due to this surgery being very, very hard on the kidneys. The reason I did not want to see him on a double vent is because I lived on a vent for 6 weeks in '91 when I had pancreatitis so bad that I almost died. Those thoughts of me and then him brought back too many bad memories; I could not deal with them.
On a lighter note - I will be getting ready for work here in a short while. Work, is a diversion for me. Later on today I have another meeting, this time in Carol Stream for an organization that the dept has me signed up with where I network with other Record's Assistants etc. It is great to get out of the building even if I have to take my car out of the garage and forego my walking to work. Yesterday's meeting was canceled due to there being no heat in the county building we were meeting at. I knew that DuPage was having money woes but turning off the heat
- just a joke. It is a rented building, it used to belong to the Tollway Authority. It is at I-88 and Naperville road. Talk at ya all later.
Dave and I really look forward to the party
that Lucy is organizing in April. It is really going to be fun. Since it was a canceled Christmas party we could still have a Christmas theme or should we have a COME ON SPRING THEME???!!! Lucy, we are of course are all here to help with whatever you need. Dave and I will be bring a couple of food items. You let everyone else know how we can help
with supplies, set up and clean up. We do not want you to do this all on your own.
&
Chris
