Friday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois, I think I may have planned to much for today, but we will see. I want to pick up the front part of the house this morning, plus help the DGD with a homework project. Then run to  the store, and work on a weaved rug I started on in the fall, and haven't finished. There is only about 1 hours work left to do, so now I want it done. I already have the colors planned for the next one, andso, I need to get the current one done.  No plans for the weekend. We have the DGD until tomorrow afternoon, then her Mom will pick her up.  Have a great day, and think good thoughts. Remember, Spring is almost here, THINK SPRING       Hugs

Good morning Illinois! I have a quiet day today with only one required project (and it is fun). I also need to go to a party store and look for a wig that has a flip hairdo. We are going to a dinner to raise $ for Rock Valley College and we have to look like 50's prom! Now that's a trick at my weight, so I thought I'd focus on the 50's hairdo and makeup. I've seen pictures on the web from the last two years and people go all out for this. Sounds like fun but I'm not a costume fan so this is a new venture for me.

Connie, sometimes resale shops have older formal dresses that might work for you to buy. I was just up in WI last week and the store I like to go to had a couple of them that would have worked.

I found a dress in my closet that will do. In some fit of insanity I had bought a navy dress that has pinkish lace at the waist with a rose! Where my mind was at the time I don't know. It looks like something my grandmother wore and it will be perfect for the dance. I just want to get a wig with a flip hairstyle. I found one online but thought I'd shop in Rockford first! Thanks for the tip, though. Connie

Well.....not dirt.  They take dust baths.  Princess Daisey is an awesome *****hilla, but Maddie needs to learn responsiblity first.

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois! I am back at work today and feeling quite a bit better than yesterday, although far from normal.  I slept from about 7:30 last night until after 6 this morning.  The good news is that I will now have all weekend to recover the rest of the way (I hope!). I am glad to hear the your brother made it through surgery, and it sounds like he is doing rather well, considering.  I will continue to keep him and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Besides taking it easy and recovering over the weekend, I have no other plans.  I HATE being sick, and I was very proud of the fact that I was not catching most of the bugs that were floating around this awful winter.  I had assumed that all the extra vitamins that I take were helping to protect me.  That may have been true, but I REALLY got socked with this one.  I hear that a lot of people have something similar and it is expected to last most of a week.  Oh well.......not much more I can do about it but ride it out. I am very glad to see Miss Lucy is back and checking in with us, along with all the new friends (and old ones too.....)  This board is very supportive and I just LOVE how active we all are. Everyone have a safe and warm day and I will try to check in over the weekend.

Dawn, Dave has had a cold that has just zapped him. What is helping him is sleep. Chris

I agree.....that seems to be the only thing that helps.  I intend to get more sleep as soon as possible. I hope Dave feels better soon!
