Monday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois!!!! I can't believe that I am first, but here goes! I am feeling much better, almost back to normal.  I should be able to get back to exercising tomorrow without the fatigue. Yesterday, I decided to take Olivia for a haircut and I had mine trimmed.  We had a nice time, and also went to Wal-Mart for some groceries.  She is happy with her "new do" and mine is the same, only trimmed. Today is work and at lunch I will go pick up Olivia's glasses that had to be repaired. We DID get the grill out yesterday, and what a GREAT idea THAT was!!!!!  The food just tasted SO yummy!  I have enough for 2-3 meals left over, so we are set for most of the week.  It looks like it was great timing too, as the snow is coming again.  We were just wondering if it will still be snowing for Riley's birthday in June???? That's about it for me today, I am thinkig of all of you and praying for resolution to each of your troubles. Please have a safe and lovely day!

Good Morning Dawn and the rest of IL!!

It's gloomy outside and I am dreading the next batch of snow we are expecting today/tomorrow.  I am SO done with this.

Well I was supposed to work today because I am supposed to go on a field trip to China Town tomorrow with Jacob's class (not sure if we will still go cuz of the weather though), but Tyler came home from his dad's really sick and has had a high fever since then.  I can't get it below 101 no matter what we give him.  He woke up this morning and it was 103.  I called my boss and told him that I was staying home and taking Tyler to the Dr.  Maybe I can talk to the Dr about my EKG stuff right away too! 

Other than that we have Freshman orientation tonight, which Tyler will have to stay home from, but Mike, Tyler's dad and I will go.  He's so bummed about it.

Good morning Dawn, Monica, and everyone,

I am off to work in a few minutes.  We are suppose to have a meeting after work today, but I am hoping they will cancel it because of the snow.  We still have ice in our driveway.  Nicole and I went out yesterday trying to chop it all up, but there is a big piece right down the middle that is still too thick.

Saturday night was Nicole's turnabout dance.  I posted pictures if anyone wants to see.  She had a good time. 

Tomorrow I am off work and have my 3 appointments at Bonaventure. I will see the np, nut, and shrink.  I have to say that I am looking forward to it.  I just hope the snow stops before I leave.  We are out of salt up here in Lake county.  In my town, they just plow and salt the intersections, but in Gurnee all they do is sand the intersections. Good morning Illinois, What a difference a day makes...I walked 2.74 miles yesterday and it felt soooo good....I want to get in another good walk sometime this morning before the weather changes again. I think spring is coming...after a few detours....it has to be just around the corner. Have a great day everyone!

Dear Michelle: Nicole looked beautiful and I am glad that she had fun.  Dances can be so nerve-racking sometimes. I am hoping that the snow is not as bad as they say.  I live very close to Wisconsin where they NEVER use salt.  Come to think of it, they do not use salt in Boone County (just the other side of us) either.  Please drive safely to your appointments.

I love being in the south where they don't salt anything.  In TN where I am from they don't plow or salt all they do is sand and gravel which doesn't do much.  People just stay home from school and work.  I keep hoping for a snow day  up here, but that aparently isn't going to happen.

Hi Dawn and Monica. Yes, we are going to have some more of SNOW.... More shoveling for me.. Yesterday I was out all day. Went to the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City and had a good time. I got sick on the way home after I ate some ribs - I think the meat was tough and I didn't chew it enough. Needless to say it got stuck. I had the case of the foamies and had to bring some of it up. I had such pain in the car and had to stop off by a gas station to try and bring it up. Then a long drive home feeling queezy. By the time I got home I felt a lot better. I learned a lesson to not eat ribs that don't come off the bone easily. That should have been my first clue! This week is going to be very busy at work. I am interviewing 4 people for a part-time position I have had open since September. I sure hope to fill it soon! Well it's time to gear up for that nasty snow that is coming our way. I hear that we are going to have another round on Thursday to Friday too. YUCKY!! I want summer.. Hugs, Lucy

Dear Lucy: Glad to hear that you had a good time until after eating.  It is good that you are feeling better and that the meat was just a bit stuck and it was not serious. I am with you......I am SICK to DEATH of winter.  Will Spring EVER come?

GM,  Dawn, I am glad you are feeling better, and Monica, so sorry that your son is sick.  Its a normal Monday, I need to get going to work, The weather forcast is Horrid, again!!! THINK SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spring is officially less then a month away, so is Easter. Since our GD no longer belives in Santa, I really think she no longer believes in the Easter Bunny either. Kids grow up to fast. No real plans for the rest of the week, ecept Dr visits on Thursday. Have a safe trip home tonight from work, it should be a mess by then, Hugs
