Tuesday Roll Call

Good morning everyone in and around IL and those that are guests from other states. Come on in everyone and share your day with everyone. We have more and more newbies coming on daily A BIG HEARTY WELCOME TO YOU ALL Lucy put up the party info post yesterday so if you want to contribute to the party with food, be there etc be sure to stop in and tell her. There was another thread started by a member named HelpChicago that is looking for info on a doctor in the Chgo area, stop in and help her if you can. On another note I put up a thread about my wedding dress. If any of you are interested in the responses pop into it and see. I also put the thread on the main board and got great responses. I linked that post to the IL post. I am eating breakfast and typing the roll call at the moment. I am about to start getting ready for work. BRRRRR - my office went to short sleeved uniform shirts yesterday. I pushed the envelope a little and still went in my long sleeves. No one said anything to me. I know why they go to short faster and that is because the officers have to wear a tie with longs and they hate the ties. I am going in long again today but I will wear my sweater over it. Good morning Chris , I am up early this morning, thank to my new puppy. I am just drinking my coffee and on my favorite site. Bet you can't guess which one that is. I am cleanning again today, getting my house ready for my Mom and Brother's visit , they will be here Sat. I can't wait. They are coming from AZ. and staying for the week. which is way to short of a visit. but I will take it. I miss them so very much. Hope everyone has a great day.  I know I will.   .    

Good Morning Chris and Janet and all of IL~ I'm still bumed that I missed the Rockford support meeting!  But when I got home, Ryan had a very nice dinner for us and then we all took showers and just chilled on the coach as a family and watched a program on TV about JESUS.  I think it was on the discovery chanel.  I could be wrong.  Not doing much today.  Jus****ching the kids and going to try to straighted things around the house before surgery and the inlaws come and stay.  I didn't get much sleep last night.  Trying to get used to the auto pap.  Ryan and Maddie just laugh at me.  Chris, I'm glad you found some stuff out about your dress.  Very interesting.  I payed to have mine cleaned and boxed, then I turned around and sold it at a garage sale.  That was a time I was VERY bitter at my marriage.  O well..things are great now.  You can't change things in the past.  Anyway...I hope everyone has a good day.  And I want to welcome all the newbies to the board!  WELCOME!!!  It's so nice to meet new faces!  Try to make it to the get together in April!  We would love to meet you in person!!!!!

Good morning Chris and Janet. Thanks for the message on the party food. I think we'll have plenty of food to go around. Janet, I'm going to Arizona in May for my birthday. I love it there. I'm staying in Sedona and planning on taking another hot air balloon ride and visiting the Grand Canyon. It's so breathtaking. Nothing planned for me today. It's Doctors Day at our hospital today so I will be busy with all the festivities. The day is actually March 30th; that is a Sunday so we are celebrating it earlier. Hope that Monica is feeling better soon and gets her replacement Impact shakes. Actually they start tasting better as you go along. Good Morning Chris and all of my other IL family!

Today I have work (most likely just today and tomorrow then out of a job), I am working on the Geneva Fire Dept uniforms for them, but there't not a ton to do. 

After work I will just do some homework and whatever until it's time to pick up Tyler from track.  At 6:30pm Tyler and I have to go to the activity center to have him fitted for his baseball uniform.  Other than that...nothing...lol

Good morning all.  Just about to head to bed myself.  Worked a 12 hour shift at the hospital last night.  Was very busy.  2 other hospitals in the area went to stand by mode.  Meaning they weren't taking any newe patient's or accepting ambulances.  So needless to say when I left this morning the hospital was busting at the seems.  And that's not including all the surgicals we are expecting today.  Well got to head to bed have another 12 hour shift tonight.  Stay dry and warm. Good Morning Illinois!!!! Chris, that is really facinating about your dress.......SO??????  How did it turn out?????  You have left us hanging..... Janet, have fun with your Mom and brother.  Enjoy the time that you have together.  It must be difficult to be separated. Kim, only 2 more days, by the weekend, you will be home and recovering.  I am glad to hear that things are going so well for you right now. Lucy, have fun at your celebration.  It is always nice to not have to do the same ol', same ol' each day.  I am looking forward to the party and thinking of bringing a sugar free rasberry/chocolate dream pie that will be good for Monica and Kim too.  I amy also bring another appetizer type thing, I am still thinking. Monica, I am REALLY glad that you are feeling better.  Did the Zicam help?  You will be recovering by this time next week and I will be "on duty". I went to the Rockford Support Group last night and we had a great time, even though there were less people than before.  We met a couple of new friends and had a great discussion.  I hope we were of some help to those that were needing a boost. I also visited with my Aunt last night, and she only cried once!  That is an improvement.  We are going to have her over on Sunday for Easter dinner and maybe her first driving lesson! After the meeting, I stopped by my daughter's to drop off some corned beef and got to put Riley to sleep.  Her cold is causing her some breathing problems (daddy and brother have asthma) so she now has a nebulizer. You are all going to have to wait a little longer because I have a hair apt right after work (last minute) then Dave and I will do the "grand opening". Actually, earlier I said that I would not open it until after work. Stand by . . . and be patient. All good things come to those that wait.   Chris

Oops......I thought you were saying that yesterday......that you were going to open it last evening. Either way, I am DYING to know how it all comes out.   Our own little "dress drama"!  hehehehe
