Good morning everyone!  We made it to Wednesday!!!  Only 2 more until the weekend!  I spoke with a friend who had RNY 18 months ago and he's lost 205 pounds!  I hadn't spoke to him since before the surgery and was surprised.  I went to a website with his picture on it and he looks amazing.  I was very inspired, and he was very supportive of my upcoming day.  Tonight our little Meredith comes back home from Grandma's!  I cannot believe how much I've missed her in just 2 days.  My wife had lunch with my mother and Meredie yesterday, so she's excited too.  I guess this was great practice for next month when we travel for the surgery.  Good luck on the review, Pam!  Just tell them that the going rate for raises is 12% in Cook County (haha)!  Have a great Wednesday! Good morning Pam and the rest of my IL friends~

I am doing a little better today.  I have not had any apin meds yet today.  I might go see my dad today since yesterday didn't pan out.  Ryan has been such a butt since I have been home from the hospital.  Today he satarted on me about how the house isn't cleaned and I should get off my lazy *ss and do something.  I have had it!!!!

I had a nice conversation w/ Allison from the board yesterday on the phone.  I hope she gets her letter soon and can appeal it!  Allison, if you see this, I will e mail you the stuff sometime today or tomorrow.

The easter bunny came this morning and Maddie had a blast!  I recorded it.  When we go to the hospital my dad wants to see the footage of when he was on life support and in the rotobed.  I think this might be a good thing for him to see how far he has come!  I better get going.  I am going to just in the shower and get moving!

Good afternoon and  a belated Happy Easter to all my IL family.  I have been up to my ears w/Dr. appts. for Eddie and managed to sneak one in for me for a mini-fill yesterday.  I had too much the last fill and couldn't hold down anything and he took out 1cc and I ended up gaining 3 lbs. so we put 1/2 cc back in and we'll see if we hit the " sweet spot".  Poor Eddie is just  crawling w/gout in his hands, we saw the hand surgeon and he will do the right hand first now, on 4-2.  In between the 2 hand surgeries we will have the eye surgery for the macular  puckering in his right eye and hope his vision is restored.  For each hand surgery his thumb will splinted for 8 weeks, so I don't know how he will be able to button or zip or tie-and he is SO flipping stubborn-he won't ask for help-so it should be an interesting 4 months.  I hope patience pills are covered by my insurance-'cause I know I'm gonna need them!  So happy for Dave and his job-my brother-in-law just got one after 15 months of searching.  Glad all went well for Monica-Dawn is an awesome angel.  Pam, I hope your review kicks butt and your raise reflects it.  Kim, sorry you are having such a hard time- men can be a real pain in the #%&-both cheeks-when they want to be.  I'll keep you and your dad in my prayers. Shelley-your new pic is awesome as is Chris and Dave's.  I hope to get an updated one soon.  Glad to see Barry is in such good spirits and welcome to our newcomers-keep coming back.  I hope to get to Miss Lucy's soiree next month-will have to see how the hubby is fairing and find someone to shlepp me along.  Oh and congrats to Martha on her size 6-I am pea green w/envy.  Big hugs to all-enjoy the sunshine!!-Janet K

I am just beginning this process and have my first evaulation in two weeks. Talk about nervous!!! I have been looking at this site for hours and I wanted to let everyone know how reading all these posts has inspired me. I know I will get through this just fine, but it seems so scary to know I allowed myself to become so heavy that I have to have a surgeon make me feel normal again. I would appreciate any insight on how you feel after the surgery, if anyone regrets it or any news at all. Congrats to all of you, you all look wonderful and seem on the road to beginning your new "thin" life style. Thanks for assisting a newcomer with a bad case of nerves :) Dorene
