Good morning Illinoisans!

Dawn that grouper sounds wonderful! Where did you get it? I loved grouper when we lived in Florida. I've noticed that in restaurants grouper is really expensive and I had always thought that in FL it was one of the cheaper fish. I guess time and the economy really makes a difference.

I'm having a hard time  being positive with this weather. Oh please, how about some sun? I saw it for about 20 minutes yesterday and that was that. One dreary day this week I took myself out to lunch but I don't even have a car today so I am stuck at work. Tomorrow I plan to knit!! I think I'll go to Unique yarns and hang out for a while. Anyone interested? Any knitters in the greater Rockford area? Anyone interested in the art walk on Friday night?

Hi Connie! I found it at Logli's on East State.  It was frozen and I grabbed 2 packages.  I'll let you know how it turns out. I would like the Art Walk, but I promised to keep Miss Riley tomorrow night.  Bummer!

Good morning Dawn and Illinois,  I slept so well in my own bed last night. Thank goodness I lurked and read before this surgery as I had learned a heating pad works for some of the gas pains. I used it for awhile last night and it really did help.  I must go out today in this crappy weather. I am getting my staples removed and need to be there at 1:30. I really hope it is not pouring when I have to leave. Today is my last day of liquids and tomorrow I get 3 Tbs. of pureed protein 3 times a day. I believe my handout says that this is for 2 weeks. Any suggestions? Dawn, I guess I missed your BBQ chicken recipe. I will have to search the posts to find it.  I hope Monica is feeling even better today. I hope everyone has a great day! I have some lurking to do in order to get caught up on everything going on around here.

Good Afternoon everyone, What a gloomy day today! Ick! I'm sorry I haven't been on much lately. We're slowly getting settled in the house. The flight from AK was uneventful, thankfully. The girls did great. I'm just shy of three months post op and down 70 pounds. Things seemed to have slowed for me as of late, but I think it's because with moving and unpacking my schedule was sooo off. I must admit that my hubby and I have been separated before (deployments etc), but this separation is so much harder because we chose to do things this way. He won't be leaving A****il the middle of June and home at the end of June. The time just seems to be dragging! I may have missed it, but wasn't there (or is there) a get together coming up soon. I remember it being April, but with everything going on right now I can't remember. If I missed it, i hope everyone had a blast and maybe I can hook up with you at the next one! Now....will someone PLEASE start singing Mr. Sun Mr. Sun please shine down on me and get this darn rain and gloom out of here! :)

Hi Tracee! Glad to hear that you made it down here safely and are getting settled. The get together is at Lucy's and it is NEXT Saturday, the 19th.  Look for her other post about final plans and respond to her there if you can make it.  We would LOVE to meet you. Have a great day!
