Saturday Roll Call

Good morning boys and girls of Lincoln Land. Looks like we got some sprinkles here in my neck of the woods overnight. But that is about it - sprinkles as it is still dry under the eaves of the house. Party time here in a short while. It will be great to meet and greet all that have been posting on the board and hear voices that go with the avatars.  Dave and I have an errand to Lincolnwood here in a short while. We are going to a place that custom makes Murphy beds. We have one already in our guest room, a queen sized bed with a wardrobe attached and now we want to put one in another room of the house. We will tell you all more later on at Lucy's. I will bring recipe copies of what we have with in case anyone is interested. I am disappointed that some of our friends from the southern area of the state cannot make. I guess we will need to make a road trip and visit you all down south next time.  & Christine

Good Morning IL family.

yay for all of you who get to party tonight and Lucy's!!  I am so upset that I can't be there.  I was SO looking forward to it.  We had to postpone my parents 50th wedding anniversary party because of me as well.

Today I will do the same things that I have been doing, resting, sipping and walking...LOL  that's the story of my life right now.  Oh and I will also be keeping an eye on my G-Tube site because yesterday when I took the gauze off, it was all oozy and red tinged.  With my luck it's infected!

I am up early because Maddie and I are going to her school and help w/ the spring clean up.  Then we are off to her 11:15 soccer game and then home to get ready for the party.  My dad comes home today, so I will swing by there house before I head out.  I got the driving directions for Lucy's.  Not bad.  It said only said 1 hous and 12 min.  That means about 50 min for me.  I had a few WOW moments yesterday at the Pulm. appt.  I will share at party.  One minor detail I left out...I screwed up my knee playing soccer.  I  just hope it need time to heal.  It's on the same knee that I reconstructive surgery on.  It hurts like a mother!!!  I'm not letting that stop me though!  I can't wait to see everyone!!

Good morning Christine and Illinois! It's a rainy morning here too, but it doesn't put a damper on today at all. We're going to Lucy's for a party! I can't wait to get going so I can meet all of you!  Monica...We'll miss you but you still need to take it easy and get yourself recovered. There will be a next time and we'll see you then. Good Morning All, I am trying to clean up the house this morning, before we head to Lucy's. Also need to get some cooking done. We are going to our daughters for a sedar tomorrow night, and Mom has to make some dishes for her.  Looking forward to meeting all the new members that have joined us since the last get together, and reaquainting with those I have met. Monica, there will be a next one. Just get yourself healed up. Happy Passover Lisa, I am going to go to the Temple tonight In Bradenton with my cousin then to Ft Lauderdale to see my cousin and my friend from dEnver tomorrow for the 2nd sedar. Hope things are well for the Party. I am sorry I missed it!!!!! Carla

Good Morning Christine, and the rest of IL, I am getting ready for the party, got my change out for the tolls, getting my hair done this noon, and then I will be ready to leave, I can't wait to meet everyone, Monica, you will be missed but you need to heal and next time you will be ready to Party  So I will see you all later today, everyone have a safe trip to Lucy's and for the ones coming on the     I90 and see some one on the side of the road looking confused that will be me    so wish me luck,,  

Good morning everyone! I will be spending the day getting the house ready for my birthday party here tonight that my BF is throwing. Should be a fun night. Sorry to be missing Lucy's but I hope to make the next one. My house is a great place for a party and I have a hot tub so maybe we can think about having the next one here if ppl are open for that. I was hoping to get to  Onederland for my birthday and the actual BD is Monday and I have 2 more pounds. My ticker says 201.8 but I refuse to put that extra .2 lbs.Hopefully I will make it by Monday. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good mornin' to my IL family-we got  a nice rain-my hubbies spring bulb plants are happy and perky-unlike him.   No big plans this w/end-I hope to go my friends 60th this evening-it all hinges on transport and ability to get ready.  I'm much improved-even got Eddie buttoned yesterday-it took a while but we got it!  I'm walking much steadier and the tic in my face is letting up   -the construction workers around here must think I'm a big flirt!  I've lost 4 of the 6 lbs. I gained while waiting for my fill-so I am very happy w/that!  I'd jump for joy,but I'd hit something or fall and I don't want Eddie arrested for spousal abuse!  It looks like he will have to delay his hand surgery as his disability is being cut again-and there is no way we can live on $ 350 a week.  It used to just be based on his salary -period, but now it's based on previous quarter earnings and since he was out for 6 wks. in Jan & Feb w/the last surgeries his earnings were low so his benefit is like non-existent  If it wasn't for our bad luck we'd have no luck at all-hahaha!  God will watch over us!  You all have a GREAT time at Lucy's and post lots of details-Big Hugs to all-Janet K
