Monday Roll Call

  Good Morning on this first holiday of summer. Maybe the weatherman will shine down on us and give us lots of sun and heat today.Also , for most of us, its a free Monday, we don't have to go to work. Thats always a good thing, especially if you get paid for it. We are going to try to get the new liner in the pool today. Our youngest daughter and  SIL are comin g to help. Our oldest will be stopping to pick up her daughter, so we will see our family today. Moms going to be on holiday too today, KFC is the meal of choice. ( We have 3 grills, 1 gas and 2 charcoal, the gas needs a new burner, and both charcoal need to be cleaned, so until someone does it (DH), no grilling. Good morning my IL board family! No work today for me!!!  HOORAY!   We're heading out to Plainfield for a cookout with some of BF's coworkers. Hopefully the weather will stay nice. I'm a little apprehensive about food lately, been having some issues with keeping down chicken, beef, etc.....so I'm not too thrilled with the idea of grilled foods. BF is really good about running intereference for me whenever others try pushing foods on me, and I'm planning on taking along a fruit tray so I will have something to nosh on.   Hope everyone has a great day!! Good morning everyone. It is pouring down rain here, and has been storming all night long. I am on day 6 since my surgery, so I am just going to sit at home, and try to relax. I had a housefull of people yesterday all day, and at the end, my inscision where my drain tube was, kept leaking blood bad. So I ended up just sitting back down and putting my feet up. Its nice to have someone else clean your house for you.  I feel better today, just tired, son has the flu so was up all night with him. Just sent him to grandmas and I am going to take a nap. Not sure what we are doing today.....bowling.....go to visit my daughter's family....cook on the grill....?????  No matter what your plans I hope you have a safe and peaceful day!

good morning everyone!  what a beautiful day!  i am meeting up with some out of town friends this am with my kids.  i figured instead of meeting in a restaurant or such with all five kids, we are meeting in a forest preserve and going letterboxing (kinda like a treasure hunt)  the kids will enjoy it and there is a trail for us to walk and get exercise.  i hope everyone has a great day!  we are grilling tonight, as every night since we have no kitchen!  i hope the guys are finished this week as my family room and all hallways are filled witht the cabinets that were delivered!  happy memorial day!

We are going to Lowe's for mulch and that's the extent of the day! We heard about tornado warnings just west of us and so we slept in the basement. I don't think I slept well, so maybe a nap today. Otherwise, just a quiet day!

Good morning Lisa and Illinois! Today is my last day before going back to work. So it's an organization day for me. Some planning and then making sure I take what I need to work with me. I wasn't in the mood to go to the pool so I decided to wait until next weekend. I bought one of those marker eraserboards to keep track of my vitamins, exercise and appointments. I'm going to put it on the refrigerator door. Other than that, a few housecleaning chores and then lots of rest. I know that I will be tired tomorrow with a full day of work. I'd leave earlier but have a meeting at 1, so the earliest I can leave is 2. Wishing everyone a Happy Memorial Day and hope those of you having picnics, a dry time! Hugs, Lucy   

Good morning everyone! We had a nice day at the daughters yesterday. Dawn's Lemon Icebox Pie was a big hit! Also we all went to the park so the girls could fly their new kite. Boy was it windy. Today, Earl want's to work some more on the reconstruction of our master bedroom. I get to pull nails out of all the "old trim and boards" yipee (not!) This also means a trip to Home Depot or Menards for new insulation and some electrical stuff. I tried to convince him it should be another day of rest but he's raring to go.  He'll pay for all this work later when his RA flairs up. But he's right it needs to get done, sleeping in the guest room and trying to find everything from our bedroom is like a treasure hunt every time I look for something. Hi everyone. Yes I can't beleive yesterday and today the sun is out.  Some storm went through here late last night....I'm not doing much today, my son is so into his videos game, hard to get him away.  He graduates  8th grade this Wednesday, and I can't beleive it. I stared school two weeks ago to take my mind off of this diet and surgery...I hope it works...LOL  everything really is just in your mind.  I'm tryin to convience myself that I can do this..... Good Morning IL Family.

Today I have to run the dogs to the groomer to get their nails cut, though I will just drive, someone else will have to hold them because they pull on their leashes.  I also have to run into the Wal Mart (attached to the grooming place) to get more cold meds for Jacob and Mike, who both have horrible colds now.  I tell ya, we can't catch a break in this house and I know what the problem is...no one wants to clean anything so it looks like I will have to start doing it slowly.  We're not doing anything special today. Everything is soaked outside from the storms that we had last night so no gardening either.  oh well.

I had a great day yesterday, my only problem was that I didn't eat enough because my sister didn't have anything other than a chicken thigh that I could eat.  by the time I got home I had a horrible pain in my pouch. I made a little ham steak, ate that and it was gone.  It was so nice to be able to enjoy my family and not worry about what Austyn is doing.  Of course when we got home it was another story....
