Friday Roll Call

Good morning IL. Well, let's hope the weather holds out today for Dave and I as we are spending the day and night in St Charles at the Hotel Baker. We are going to do a lot of walking, maybe some bike riding (there are a couple of bike shops there that rent) if it is not too humid, shop and there is a restaurant I have been wanting to go to there called Franchesca's by the River. It is a celebration day because I hit the big double nickle today.   I did not think 5+ years ago I would see this with Dave being alive because he had been told he would not see 60 when he was SMO. He turned 60 last year now we are moving onto 61+ etc. Also my work now has to sell me medical insurance if I ever leave there, this is state statutue with my pension. I feared all week that I was going to be chopped because there have been lay offs at the nature center with in the last month. All but one person are gone.  We got our Murphy Bed installed yesterday and it looks fantastic. I will put pictures on my profile here in a short while. have a great day, I know I will.  & Christine

Good morning everyone! I am off work today and this weekend so hopefully I can get my butt moving and exercise. Nothing special planned except Sunday is a wedding and it is outdoors so I hope the weather cooperates! Have fun in St Charles Christine! Hope everyone has a great day!

good morning christine and glenda and the rest of illinois!  christine, have a blast!  sooo pretty there!  i have been to a few wedding at the baker hotel!  what a wonderful thing to celebrate!  have a blast!   glenda have fun at your wedding!  good job jump starting the exercising!!  i am off of work today and will continue trying to get our house back in order.  my mom came over after work and slept over and helped me put everything back into the kitchen as our new countertops were installed yesterday afternoon.  the workers just have to install all of the appliances today and put on the finishing toe kicks, etc and finish the bathroom and we are FINALLY done! i have to admit it hase been a hard three weeks having our kitchen redone the same week i had lap band surgery and needed to prepare these protein only meals!  but that is over and i am happy with the results (both the kitchen and my weightloss! )    have a great day everyone! karey

The Hotel Baker is beautiul-my best friend had her wedding reception there.  I decided to play a little hoky today. I have so many errands to get done and it always seems like there's not enough time on the weekends-so a mental holiday from work today seemed like a great idea, especially with al the craziness and tears that have been floating around this week. Good morning and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Christine! I hope you enjoy your day in St. Charles.  I need to go to the grocery store for a few things today. I don't have much planned to do. Hopefully I will get a walk in early today. Yesterday I walked at noon.  Glenda,enjoy the wedding this week-end! Karey, it sure is great when a major remodel is completed. Happy Birthday Christine!!!!!  You and Dave have a great time, you have a lot to celebrate! Hello everyone else! I am at work today, and the kids came in with me because of the AirFest tonight.  The kids are cooking breakfast right now for the crew and will be doing lunch and a snack later on.  That is one perk of this job.......I can bring them with me when the need arises.  We have a full kitchen so the cooking keeps them busy and makes them feel useful.  Plus, the crew LOVES the food. David is just waiting for the Thunderbirds to begin their practice runs as we are not too far from the airport and are on the flight pattern.  Last year, when the Angels were here, they really rocked this building!  It was very exciting and I hope David gets to experience it.  On the other hand, I have never seen the Thunderbirds, so I don't know how similar they are to the Angels. We have a busy weekend with the AirFest tonight and tomorrow then taking David to NYLT (Boy Scout leader training) on Sunday.  He will be gone all next week, home for a short time on Saturday, then leave again the next Sunday for thier "High Adventure" on Isle Royale.  I miss him when he is gone, but he will really enjoy it, I'm sure. I'm thinking of Cherie as she joins the losers. That's about it for me today......... Everyone stay safe and enjoy your day and weekend if I don't make it back before Monday!

I threw in the towel and turned on the air conditioning this morning once I realized it's going to be sticky through Sunday.  My kids and I have the basic running around to do today--classes, stores, etc. We'll probably hit the health club pool, too. Me today?  Well I have to take Tyler to the Dr.  He woke up yesterday not feeling good, with a sore throat and fever...today his ears are killing him. He was supposed to go to one of his very good friends grad party, but he can't now. He's bummed but understands as he's also got 2 ball games tomorrow, one being an All Star game he was invited to play at.  Some Friday's his Dr isn't in, is this is the case I am thinking of finding one of those Walgreens that has a Nurse Practioner in it and getting him checked.  I can't let him go all weekend feeling like this.

Other than that, nothing else really planned for today....yesterday was a very long, but great day.

Happy Birthday Christine  heres a FF, CalF and SF cake! Oh and heres the party  and the clown... .. Good Morning Illinois.. Getting my Butt moving to make my journey home. Got a fill yesterday and I had not thought about needing one. After questions at Dr Rosens office we decided I was in need. I think I was nervous obout getting it because last July I was too tight for about 2 months and I did not want to relive that nightmare.  I am going to go to Whole Foods before I head home since there isn't one down my way or as Brianna put in the Boone Docks....LOLI do live in the country but its only about 20 miles west of Peoria....I love my cornfields!!  Just got a weather aleart from our local news channel that there is a wind advisory back home...45 mile wind gust and most at 30 to 35 mile winds.. Hopefully  it will be blowing to the east Ill get better gas mileage since Ill just blow home once I get down on 80.LOL Last night group meeting was great. We were given alot of info about grocery shopping and alot od Gov. web sights to get additional info. We got alot of Valuable info.  Stay dry, cool and have a grat day Illinois... Karen

Good Morning... Happy Birthday Christine I hope you enjoy your Birthday! I need to go get a few things from the store today... Did cleaning yesterday... We have had a few peaceful days... We are waiting to hear from a Christian Boarding School please keep that in prayer if that is God's will for our family... We have had to call the Police several times in the last couple weeks as things with Serenity are getting more serious... She has assulted us, broke doors, mirrors, etc.. I love my daughter and my heart is hurting... I do have a lot of support, and a very wonderful church and church family and an AWESOME God! Have a great weekend everyone! Blessings Jenn
