greetings from the hospital
well, I am sitting here at abmc in elk grove on the 6th floor after 6 hours in the er.
on monday, i had pain in my upper right quad of the abdomin. I thought gas since it was after lunch. i took some gasex and tylenol and this seemed to help. On tuesday the pain was back, so I went to the va hospital er, to have them check my gallbladder. they drew blood and took exrays and told me I had gas.
Today i went to work and the pain had moved to my back and i was nausea and tylenol did nothing. so i called dr kanes office and talked with apa and it was decided i would come down here.
so, again, more blood was taken, urine, and an ultrasound of the gallbladder. everything came back perfect. So, I broke down in tears, the hottie er dr. decided to do xrays ans a ct scan. it seems that my appendix is not in its normal spot and that it is some what enflamed. so they decided to keep me here to run so more tests on me in the morning. Dr rantis came and saw me tonight and signed all the paperwork for my stay here.
I will let you all know more tomorrow.
OH Wendi, I am sorry to hear you are under the weather, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that the Dr.s find out what is wrong and get you all fixed up soon.
Take care and keep us posted as much as you feel up to.
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
Hi Wendi. Oh my! I'm sorry to hear about your hospitalization.
The main thing is to get a handle on what is causing the pain and to have the surgeon take care of it. Once you get through that part, things will start to look bright again! Hopefully, if you are going to have surgery, he can do it all laparoscopically.
Keep us posted if you can. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Wendi... Sorry to hear you are not feeling well
I think you did the right thing by staying on top of the pain and following up on it... One can never be to sure and just "pass it off as gas" I am glad you are in good hands! Will be keeping you in thoughts and prayers! Keep us posted as you can! Sending well wishes your way! Love Jenn
