need imput on 2 centers of excellance
I need good or bad input on the Kane center Dr. kane in arlington heights Il. and silvercross hospital in Joliet Il. I had a lap-band done1 year ago 4 days later had to be removed it perferrated my stomach I interested in doing RNY but where to go it has to be center of excellance for my insurance any input would be wonderful 
My husband has surgery for his shoulder scheduled for tomorrow at Silver Cross in Joliet. I had both knees replaced there in seperate surgeries 4 yrs ago. I have nothing but good things to say , we are always surprised how fast they are when we go for test, and it's employees are so friendly. I am in the process of having a lap band approved. Dr Joyce answered all my questions , his staff was helpful , I went to the seminar and feel he is the Dr I want to do it. The Other Dr. is great too. We went to a seminar of his too. He does a surgery similar , minis the band, for Heart Burn problems. My husband is planning to have that surgery also. A lot of people lined up to talk to him after the program . He was very impressing. I,ve read post on this forum from some of his patients, It's sad that your lap band didn't work, I was thinking about the RNY but I'm 67 and DR Joyce says the Lap band is a better choice for me. My prayer are for you
I am having RNY at Silver Cross with Dr. Joyce on July 7th. He was extremely informative and eager to answer all my questions. His staff has been nothing but wonderful and supportive. They were also a great help with the insurance company. I was approved in 3 months! I hope this helps and wish you the very best!
