Saturday Roll Call

Good morning everyone - or afternoon when you all finally make it on the board. Looks like finally we will need our shades for the day like this little guy  Did you see any of the news footage from Cedar Rapids IA? That is where Dave was born. It is unbelievable about that hospital. There is another hospital about a mile from the one that was evacuated. All the NICU babies went to it. Furniture floating down the river from a furniture store. They did not mention the name of the store but we know what it is as there only is one in the downtown area and water up to the theater marque at the Paramount, a high rise Holiday Inn closed the list goes on. Quaker Oats has a factory/plant there right on the river also - closed. That town is a disaster. They were going to close the interstate I-380 also as it borders the river. All the prisoners from the county jail had to be removed. Well, for the first part of today I am going to be helping at a men's health fair at York Town Shopping Center for LWB then I will come home and walk down the street to our neighbors for their son's HS graduation party. That is my day in a nutshell.  & Christine

It looke beautiful out!!!! The flood is all over the news, it looks really bad.  I feel so sorry for those people.  I have experienced 2 floods in my life, it's not fun... I didn't get  too much sleep, worried about my test today so hopefully everything will go good.  My ankles were really swollen yesterday, so I have to tell them that.   If I feel up to it, I have laundry and homework today....tomorrow is my last day to eat.....it's my last supper...LOL Everyone, have a good day! Good Morning my Illinois Family. I would like to welcome Michelle to our board. It is the best one on OH. Come back in and tell us about yourself, and return often. This is how we keep up with what everyone is doing. Lynne, the test will go great. Stop worring about it. Christine, it looks like another busy day for you. After I finish my morning jolt of decafe, I am going to make a brocklie salad for tonights dinner. Also a pasta salad made with thin noodles. Not sure what the meat will be, but I will figure that out out later. I still have to clean the pool, I got lazy yesterday and decided to read all day. I did get to the store, and put all the groceries away. I also worked the gazelle for 25 min. ( will do that today too, as almost everyday). Tomorrow we will be going to Morris to a 50's Diner for dinner. They have awesome chili, plus other things, and awesome ice cream delites for those that can have it. I will be good and just have a bite of my DHs hot fudge sundae.  I am off to tackle todays " todo" list. I really don't think it ever gets done. HUGS

Good morning Christine and my Ilinois friends, Looks like a wonderful day in the neighborhood today, sunshine here. I feel so bad for the people affected by all the flooding,Iowa, Wisc. Ill, Ind., seems like all over the midwest.  We are just doing more of the same today, painting the master bedroom, got it all primed yesterday.  Have a Happy Day, Paulette

Good morning Illinoisans! The sun is shining!!

We have a day planned like Christine's! There is a neighborhood coffee this morning to get to know one another. I've been looking forward to that. Then I'm taking a knitting class from 1-3 to make a jacket to take to Europe next month. Later in the afternoon there's a graduation party in the family. So a busy day unlike my usual weekends. It should all be fun. Kay suggested some shopping and I said "when?" so that might be for tomorrow.

Thinking about all of you with medical and family issues. Looking forward to seeing some of you at support group Monday.

Good Morning my IL family.

My prayers are with of those who have been affected by those floods in IA!  and anywhere else!  This weather has been horrible.

I am getting ready to head out to my parents with my sister, neice and Jacob for the day.  We are celebrating Father's Day today.  It looks like it will be a gorgeous day out too....we'll probably sit on the deck all day and just chat and visit,while the kids play with the dog!  lol

I have to ask for prayers for my household right now though as things around here are VERY bad.  My ex wants to call the police on Mike because he was breaking up a fight between Jacob and Austyn and he left bruises on Jacob's shoulder from where he grabbed him.  Of course Austyn got in NO trouble and according to Tyler, Austyn was the one who started the whole thing.  Trust me, if Jacob had started it, Tyler would have NO problem saying that either.  He's ratted Jacob out plenty of times in instances where Austyn would have been blamed.  I am sick to my stomach over this. 

Anyway I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys the sun!

My hubby has had to make a lot of detours in the last few weeks due to flooding. Some of these detours are more for cars not big trucks. His company is located in Le Mars,Ia... real close to the boy scout camp that got hit with the tornado! He was in the area that evening and I was franic because he does not get a cell signal there. So I had to wait for him to finally call. Ok my day is going to see The Hulk then I might go back and see The Happening..so might day is going to be light I have a back ache and Im going to rest.... Have a good day Illinois....Enjoy the SUN
